Up super early for a Sunday, was wide awake so might as well get up.It’s a year ago today I was hit by the car on the way to work, was Friday the 13th last year. Broke my leg and split my head open. No lasting effects leg wise thankfully but my head is still a bit sore where I had the stitches, just a tiny lump now though. That was an experience I never want to repeat, I still flashback to being hit, I really thought I was going to die. Can’t believe how lucky I was 🙏
Sunday is usually a NSD but not today as I’ve got the hairdressers this afternoon. They’re having to open Sundays to catch up with the lockdown backlog.Today’s plan is to make a start on wrapping presents, not that many to wrap really but it takes forever as the cat always dive bombs the paper. Also need to take the dog out a couple of times. Going to make the chickpea and vegetable loaf from my new PON cookbook for tonight’s dinner. Mr SA is having roast beef. Really need to sort the freezer out too, see what I’ve got and make a meal plan for next week.
New 4 week budget period starts tomorrow and I need to be more careful from then onwards, spent a lot over the past few weeks - Black Friday, Christmas, etc.Have a good one xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Hair done, felt weird going on a Sunday. Noticed the nail bar near it was open too.I suppose they’ve got to try and make up lost income. The dog has been for a run on the park twice and has come back covered in mud on both occasions, it was really slippery underfoot even in wellies. Just realised that last sentence sounds like the dog went out on her own running - she’s doing Couch to 5k 🤣
DD has bought the dog yet another coat, she now has 4! When I got back from the hairdressers she came running downstairs to show it off 😆
Have wrapped the majority of the Christmas presents. The cat appeared from nowhere and ran off with the curling ribbon in her mouth, it all trailing behind her. All the rustling of paper made her have a mad half hour. At least she hasn’t ripped the paper this year - yet.Just got to quickly sort the freezer out then I’m going to have a nice long soak in the bath with a face pack on. Tonight’s dinner is all prepped ready to go in the oven.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Sounds like a productive Sunday.7

The PON chickpea and vegetable loaf is so tasty 😋
Sad to find out WW are no longer doing their magazine. All going to app based. The app is brilliant but I’ll miss the magazine, been buying it for so many years, probably since I was a teenager.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
I do love a magazine to thumb through......I feel I spend too much time online as it is.January spends - £587.586

Sun_Addict said:A recommendation here - ordered a burner and soy wax melts from a family owned Scottish company, Callan Candles, after seeing an advert on my FB feed. OMG the wax melts smell amazing 💕 My whole house smells fabulous, really pleased. I’m conscious that Mr SA’s accidents make the house smell like a care home so anything that makes it smell nice is a bonus 👍7
