I haven’t seen any panic buying locally either milann. So I did slightly over 18,000 steps today plus a short Pilates class via Fit On. Happy with that.Mr SA has been a complete PITA tonight. I went for a walk after work then did the Pilates. He started complaining about his dinner possibly being late because he was hungry and I still had to have a bath 😡 Then when I got out of the bath he’d wet himself, he only went to the loo just before I got in the bath, I wasn’t in that long 😩 Driving me nuts 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Morning, happy Friday 😎
Not been out for my morning walk yet, it seems to be taking forever to get light this morning. I'm still cross with Mr SA for yesterday, he seems to be particularly difficult to cope with at the moment. I try not to dwell too much on it or it would drive me insane, but I really can't bear the thought of years of this yet to come. Instead I try to concentrate on the things I enjoy and the things I have control over. Anyway enough moaning, it's Friday.
Have started off my iPad savings with the princely sum of £3.09, not much but the pot has been started off. Might be some more to go in at the end of the week. Planning on a NSD today.
Will try and get in as many steps as possible today, going to go for a run on the treadmill after work. Although I enjoyed running outside in the summer, now it's cold and dark in the mornings, it's nice to run on the treadmill after work then jump straight in the bath.
Anyway, must get dressed and go for a walk before I start work.
Have a fabulous Friday x

My ipad is needing replaced too but i don't want to replace it.........its eight years old and it was the first birthday pressie hubby bought me......no one had ever spent that amount of money on me before, he bought it because I said my dream was to own a ipad and he made it happen. bless him.

Ahhh ABBA that’s lovely.....it’s so annoying that they can’t be updated. My family clubbed together for a mini iPad when my first grandchild was born so that we could keep in touch with video chats. Then my dh replaced it with a full size one as programmes I wanted would load any more for my 60th a couple of years ago. I’ve been very spoilt.
SA that’s all you can do I think - focus on what you enjoy and make as many opportunities for yourself as you can. I don’t know how you do it.....hats off to you 👏👏 Has the carers support - I know it was virtually non existent before - come to an end in this crazy COVID time. This is when people need more support more than ever....January spends - £587.589 -
I've heard nothing carers wise for about a year. I'm in a carers support group at work and we have regular calls, my problem is I can't speak up on those because Mr SA is always listening in the background. The other day I was on a work call and he was in another room watching TV. A bit later he mentioned something he'd heard me say on the call which proved he'd been ear-wigging. I told him he shouldn't be listening to my work calls and it was none of his business what we were discussing.
I want a full size iPad, my current on is a mini. It would be so much better to put some of my apps from my phone on the iPad, it's really straining my eyes to keep looking at my phone even though it's a decent sized one. It will be money well spent as it will definitely make things easier for me.
Thankfully Mr SA is keeping a low profile today which means he knows he overstepped the mark yesterday.
I went for a walk round the block this morning before work and will take the dog on the park at lunchtime.

How about squirrelling your travel money to and from work away for the iPad......just realised you often walk so that is a bit of a daft idea on my part.....creeps away 🤪January spends - £587.588

Your comment did make me smile though milann. When I applied for my re-mortgage 3 years ago to get the renovations done, the building society chap asked how much my travel expenses were and didn't believe me when I said zero, I walk every day. He wouldn't have it and insisted he had to put something on the form. My plan is to have the iPad money by the end of November when the Black Friday/Cyber Monday offers come out, I doubt I'll get much of a deal but I might get a bit of something off it. We can sometimes buy discounted gift vouchers via work which is how I got my Fitbit cheaper so I'm keeping a look out.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Hi SA re your iPad , Apple never reduce their stuff to bargain prices but they do a gift card so if you buy from Apple you can have a gift card to spend later on Apple stuff. I bought my last iPad through ao.com I think they gave a £60 discount , John Lewis always give a discount as well as I am sure most electrical suppliers do . Apple somehow don't allow massive discounts . Have sent you a PM.Anyway hope you are having a good weekend.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.11
