Fingers crossed for the promotion.

Just caught up with your diary...
On the beer front... why isn't he brewing his own? He has the kit...
If he want's beer, buy him a home brew pack and say, "there you go, make yourself 40 pints from that!"
I'm still brewing my own, saving money and enjoying some excellent brewsBUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

He wasn't too keen on the last lot he made but I'm trying to encourage him to have another go with a different sort. I think the main reason is he can't be bothered, if he could get me to do it for him he would.
Forgot to mention my nephew won a £5k holiday in a competition on the Voice. He's got 3 kiddies and not much money to pay for luxuries so this is just brilliant.
It's done nothing but rain here since yesterday lunchtimeOn the plus side it's stopped Mr SA pestering me to take him in town. He seems to think because I had a bit of a splurge on the Tu sale it's a spending free for all.
The dog is limping, can't see anything wrong with her paw or leg though. She's got to go to the vets for a check up soon so will mention it then. I dread taking her to the V.E.T as she changes from the lovely sweet natured dig she is normally to the hound of the Baskervilles so I have to muzzle her.
On top of that the cat's skin condition has flared up again so she'll have to go too.

Got hairdressers this morning for a trim, not going to WW this week as it clashes with the hair appointment. Will do the Savers stock up today plus walk up to Aldi for the super six.
Then some more practice tests.
Tuesday I've got someone coming to measure up for the dining room/hall flooring. The other place never got back with a quote. Really need to get this done now, fed up of waiting.
Wednesday I'm going to Birmingham with work to visit our offices there. Unfortunately there won't be time to look round the Bullring. Haven't told Mr SA it won't interfere with his evening meal so he doesn't need to know.
Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter breakI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
It's good to know that someone wins those competitions!! Hope you have a lovely relaxing time having your hair done, and good luck with all those practise tests. You so deserve that promotion.. and siphon off the pay rise in to a secret "treats for SA" pot !!

Good for you treating yourself in the TU sale SA.
Keep practising on those tests, fingers crossed xxMummytogirls x0 -
It can be a bit of a downer if a brew doesn't turn out quite as expected and admittedly it does require a bit of work in both the preparations and the cleaning up afterwards. In my experience though it pays off and is well worthwhile to keep at it and find the brews that do work for you and are to your taste.
I'm lucky in that I have mates who are excellent home brewers and the lovely lady at the brew supply shop is great at recommending brews that I may like to try, cos she knows what types of beer I like and has never recommended a dud yet
What kind of Beers does Mr SA really like and I will make enquiries as to what homebrews are closest
Hope you're having a lovely weekend

Thanks US - he's gone off his real ale and just likes lager now, so something light would be ideal.
Have submitted the job application which has generated the first test - numerical reasoning. I'm done with the practising now and will do the real thing tomorrow. If I pass this test the next test will be generated.
There are better things to do with an Easter weekend I'm sure, but hopefully will be worth it in the end
Mr SA has rumbled what I'm up to and is moaning about me abandoning him. I've told him it's disgusting how he won't support me which has shut him up - for now.
Anyway, today has been NSD 1 of April. I've worked out yet another budget plan. I should be able to save at least £350 a month if I stick to it :rotfl:
I have absolutely no willpower.
Anyway, off to sort out holiday toiletries now. Hope everyone is having a good day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy Easter!
Amazing news re your Nephew’s win :j.
Glad you told Mr SA where to get off. Abandoning him . Really?! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Thanks Lucky
I just get so fed up of treading on eggshells with him. I have to be so careful what I tell him. It's sad that he won't encourage me or be happy for me - he would've been like this before the tumour to be honest.
I feel like it's my last chance to get somewhere after being held back for so many years. Starting with my dad abandoning me and my mum just after my O'levels scuppering my chances of staying on for A levels and going to Uni, but let's not dwell on the past ......
Where I work are really supportive of anyone wanting to get on and I want to take that chance before it's too late.
But - regardless of how good you are at your job and how much you deserve promotion, if you can't write competencies well (seriously you could be rubbish at your job but good at writing them) you have no chance.
Anyway I must stop thinking about work - it's only 2 weeks to holiday :jI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
