I like shopping if it includes a coffee stop and/or a pub lunch which is the best part of it as far as I’m concerned.Katsu he wouldn’t be fooled by alcohol free beer. On the plus side he’s cut down at least for now anyway.
Was busy with meetings today at work so did a 5k walk on my treadmill afterwards to get my step count up to 10k. It was pouring with rain outside or I would’ve walked the dog. Mr SA has been taking the dog out the past few days as it’s still a novelty to him to have his scooter back.
Speaking of the scooter, Mr SA had a £50 refund from Motability today. They said it was an insurance refund. Have scanned in the cheque via my banking app so we’ll see if it clears, otherwise it will be a hike into town.
Hoping to go for another 5k run in the morning if it’s not raining.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
That’s great news about your little one. It must have been on all of your minds. It sounds as if you’ve had some bargains from M&S. I want some trainers but am reluctant buying without trying.Good news about the mobility refund,👍January spends - £587.587

Morning all, happy Wednesday 😎
Yes we are all very relieved that DGD doesn't have anything nasty. It looks like she's had a water infection that has cleared up by itself.
Have been for a run this morning and feel better for it. There don't seem to be as many runners out and about as there were last week, probably gone back to work. Traffic is busier thought. Provided it's not raining will take the dog for a walk at lunchtime.
Work-wise have already had two meetings today, no more until later this afternoon. Good job I was on mute in one meeting as Mr SA couldn't have made more noise in the background if he tried, I've never heard anyone make so much noise stirring a coffee!
Today will be a NSD, no plans to go to the shops, don't need anything today.

Great news that DGD has nothing seriously wrong with her
.
I do like shopping, but with no toilets and no chance for a coffee stop I don't feel inclined to go shopping either. Especially if I have to wait in a queue for two hours. No wondering people were peeing in doorways, what do they expect if most of the toilets are closed? Anyway I'd rather spend my money on home improvements and paying bills at the moment.
It's good that Mr SA had a refund, quite right too as he couldn't use his scooter for so long. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

We went to a seaside place about an hour from home at weekend and the loos were open. I suppose it must vary from place to place though.
I'm pleased you got your run - it’s been a funny old day weather wise - brilliant sunshine to torrential rains and thunder....pleased you managed to get out and stay dry.

I’m looking forward to our local charity shop re-opening so I can pick up some more of those 3 for 75p books 🤣 Also looking forward to a nice lunch out at the local pub, missing their vegan burger and sweet potato fries.
