Yep. Bet the card companies are making a tidy sum! The supermarket card shelves were bare. We are going to es cana I’ve been once but many moons ago! Sounds bliss where you are
going I’ll have to add it onto the wish list !5 -
Es Cana was the first place we went in Ibiza, ended up going back there 3 times, it’s a great resort and ideal for both families and couples alike. Santa Eulalia is a nice resort to visit and it’s right next to Es Cana.Issues with IT at work, no VPN, IT people trying to fix it. National issue it’s creating havoc, can’t get anything done.Been for a run this morning. Got 8 weeks to lose at least 7lbs. WW are starting up Express Workshops soon but only for weighing in, no talks. Loads of rules re numbers and no touching merchandise unless buying, might give it a miss until it’s all back to normal. It’s the social aspect I miss.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Well it only took 3 hours shutting down and restarting before I could finally start work this morning, what a faff. IT problems now fixed.
Now I'm on a mission to lose weight, spend less, save more etc, I've decided to keep a log of what I'm actually doing to achieve said missions. As we all know a goal is just a dream without a plan.
Mission 1: lose 7lbs in 8 weeks
So today I have run just over 5k and plan to make sure I do a bare minimum of 10k steps a day. I'm used to doing over 20k a day in normal times but this is difficult when I'm not walking to and from work. I've filled in my WW tracker for today, everything that passes my lips will be accounted for. Making butternut squash dhal with cauliflower rice tonight, which is a favourite recipe of mine and very low points. My downfall while we've been on lockdown has been not counting my points properly and drinking more wine than usual - so combine that with fewer steps and lo and behold you have the reason for the weight gain.
Mission 2: spend less
Today has been a NSD - two in a row. Must start counting these. Today is the first day of budget week 4.
Mission 3: save more
Have sent £450 to my emergency fund as this was sitting in my current account just in case I needed it if I overspent. So the EF now stands at £4450/£10,000. VSP holds £403.23/£600. The regular saver I was putting £250 a month into matures at the end of this month, now holds £3000, this is for home improvements. I will be re-starting this savings account as it's been a brilliant way to save for me. I shopped around for a better deal for the EF as it's in an ISA and I had a good deal which has now come to an end but no surprises there aren't really any good deals around right now so have stuck with the Coventry for another year. Same applies to the Regular Saver account with the Halifax, no better deals out there so sticking with it.
Also planning on keeping up with the Fly Lady stuff, been doing quite well with that during the past few weeks.

I know I have said this before SA but I so admire you! You are so determined and focused. Love the sound of the Missions! I too looked for a savings account and stuck with Hally facts..but will check out the other one
Big love XXXX
Ps SO pleased for you re Spain - I actually thought of you this morning when I heard the news!Nevertheless she persisted.8 -
I do the Regular Saver with Halifax and put away the maximum of £250 a month, it was 2% interest but it's gone down to 1.75%. the Coventry were doing an ISA offer last year, 2% (I think) but it's gone down to 0.85%. I'm not able to save large enough amounts of money to make that much difference to the amount of interest I get.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Forgot to add, DS's Father's Day card arrived today. Had to laugh as it said on the front "sorry Father's Day has been cancelled this year, better luck next year" 🤣 Mr SA doubly miffed as that's his Father's Day and his April birthday affected by lockdown.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Pleased the Father’s Day card arrived. He will have to have a joint celebration when the lockdown has finished and you all get together.
its definitely sounding more positive about your holiday 🤞☀️January spends - £587.586 -
Morning all, happy Tuesday 😎
Already hot and sunny here, took the dog for a long walk at 7am to get some steps in. She was a tad reluctant as she was dozing on the bed and didn't want to get up. I had to pick her up and carry her downstairs, she was fine once she realised she had no choice. So already clocked up almost 6k steps.
As it's going to be even hotter tomorrow and Thursday I think I might finish work early both days so I can sit outside in the sunshine, I hate being indoors when the weather's like this.
Mr M order coming later, two items missing this week and one of them is Mr SA's beer - oh no 😢 To be honest I could do with going to Aldi this week for a few bits and I know they sell it so might have a trip up and get Mr SA to follow on his scooter to transport the shopping. Although I'm very grateful to have been lucky enough to get delivery slots most of the time during lockdown, I hate being at the mercy of online shopping. Iceland are throwing offers and delivery slots at me at the moment but they don't sell the beer he drinks, he's quite particular.

I got one the scales this morning and now wish I hadn't,I've put 5lbs on in a week which take me to 10st 13lbs, I've never been this heavy apart from during or after pregnancy. I really need to knuckle down and sort this out. I can't decide whether to go back to SW or WW though 🙄
I am pleased to hear your holiday is looking likely, you definitely deserve a break in the sun soon 😊

Great news hairdressers are re-opening 🎉 I'm on a waiting list at mine as they had to cancel my April appointment so I appreciate it may be a while before I actually get a haircut, they are working down the list of cancellations from March onwards. Also it appears DS and the GKs will be able to visit again from 4 July 🎉 I'm getting a bit mixed up with what we can and can't do at the moment, it doesn't help that I try to avoid the news. Looking forward to being able to go to the local pub again for lunch too. I don't think there'll be a problem with the social distancing in there as it's always half empty at the best of times.
I've booked Thursday off work so hopefully the weather won't change, will probably finish tomorrow just after lunch.
My ingredients for the virtual gin cocktail masterclass on Thursday have arrived. Quite a decent amount of stuff for £13. Just got to get some blackberries, although there might be enough in my frozen mixed berries bag.
