Back home now, got the Defected Virtual Festival on in the background, one good thing coming out of all this is the amount of online stuff appearing.
Nipped into M&S on the way home and it was dead. I needed to pick up some handwash and they had plenty, probably because the stockpilers are only after the cheap stuff.
Smile for today - went into the Mr S Local for a paper and a customer asked the manager how many packets of cigarettes he was allowed to buy. The manager's response was as many as you like, you're still allowed to smoke yourself to death 🤣
Just remembered today is the first day of Spring 😁

Morning folks
Hope everyone is well.
It's now official that the April holiday is cancelled, email arrived from Jet2 yesterday. Obviously it's not a surprise and even if it was ok to travel by then I wouldn't fancy it so soon after this. They are to contact me next week with options. I'll ask if they can use the money from this holiday and put it towards the August holiday balance. Fingers crossed things will be better by then. On the plus side this has eased my finances a fair bit.
So that's all the pubs, restaurants and cafes closed. Had to be done to try and keep people in. No prizes for guessing alcohol will be the next thing to be stockpiled. I'm trying to make Mr SA understand that he might need to cut down drastically but it's hard work.
I need to nip to Savers today for some hair dye as still not picked it up. I'm trying to stay in as much as possible and I certainly have no plans to visit any large supermarkets.
Annoyingly I now can't access this site via my phone or iPad which is a pain.
Going to attempt the virtual WW meeting this morning. DS and the GKs are supposed to be coming later on, not 100% comfortable with this but DS wants to bring my Mother's Day present.

This is trivial I know but I joined the M&S Premium Club around the beginning of December. It's £10 a month but they send loads of money off vouchers and you get vouchers for free coffee. I thought I'd trial it for a year to see if I got anything good out of it. Anyway, my first lot of coffee vouchers came through in December and I think I managed to use two before I broke my leg. As they had an expiry date of end February I gave them to a neighbour who goes in the café a lot. A couple of weeks ago I got my next batch, used two again - now the café is closed because of the virus. A tad apprehensive about getting the next batchI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

i am not at home at the moment but my son sent me a photo of the alcohol section of our local Tesco at 8 o’clock last night. Not a bottle of anything to be had. No wine, beer, cider or spirits. Total madness. Hope you get Mr S A to understand.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

You’re definitely not destined to get your M&S coffee SA. I miss nipping into my M&S which closed down.Don’t envy you trying to get Mr SA to cut down on his beer. He won’t be a happy bunny at all.....
Stay safe with the gks. My eldest gdd is struggling to get her head around no school, childminder, friends, parties holidays or parks. Her little world - like everyone else’s - has been turned upside down. Her dad is 40 in a couple of weeks and they had a lot of plans which have all been cancelled. It’s a crazy old time......January spends - £587.588 -
Went out to the local shops this morning, got everything I needed from Savers but then I wasn't looking for the popular items. Sad to see the charity shops, cafes and pubs closed. The small shops only letting a few customers in at one time, Tesco Express shelves fairly empty, Iceland was packed, I only wanted ciabatta rolls for Mr SA, decided not to bother. Put a note with my phone number on through my neighbour's door then bumped into her on the way back, she's fine, got plenty of food in for now and plans to go out as much as she can.
The WW virtual workshop was a bit weird, miss seeing everyone face to face. A couple of the members got quite tearful, which made me feel tearful, I think the enormity of it all is starting to hit people now.
For now we are fine for food and I have online orders with Mr M until 2 April. Whether I will actually get what I've ordered is another matter I've been lucky up to now. After that not sure what I'll do if the local shops are stripped bare and still manically busy. I don't have a car so won't be able to go from shop to shop. I don't want to walk miles to a supermarket to find they haven't got anything. Trying not to think that far ahead right now, taking it one day at a time.

I think we have to live in the moment while taking due thought for the future, which complicates things doesn't it?
Glad you got what you needed and your neighbour is well provisioned. xx

Pleased too that your have everything you need for now SA. I don't have a car, so like you will have to take a bit of pot luck with the shopping although I'm fine for now - the shopping trolley has come in handy I must say. Hope Mr SA doesn't get too grumpy about his beer. ☹️xFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
