I'm going to adopt your one day at a time thing, I think that it will do me good and stop me panicking so much, I haven't been able to concentrate or settle so today I burnt off my anxiety by cleaning my house ,it's never looked so sparkly 😀
The stockpilers have got to the alcohol in my town now,I have a bit of a thing for Martini and lemonade and decided to buy a bottle of martini the other day but there wasn't any, tonight we went to our Mr T express and they had a bottle, itwas a pound dearer than normal but these are desperate times so I bought it 😀
I have to say I'm not too worried about Mr SA catching the virus but I am worried that you might throttle him by the time we are allowed out again 😀
Also on the hair front ,I've realised today that I'm not going to be able to get mine cut until this is over so by the end of it I should have developed a rather nice mullet 🙀🙀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,89410 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is well.
OBL the one day at a time thing really helps. It helped me cope when Mr SA was in hospital, if I left that day and he was comfortable then that was enough. I also find it helps to try and do as many normal things as possible, although that's very difficult at the moment. Just simple things you'd probably do anyway like read a book, clean up, paint your nails etc.
I think the stock piling of alcohol will be short-lived. The pubs etc closed suddenly on Friday and caught people unawares. Obviously those who normally go out over the weekend panicked. Well that's my theory anyway 😁 DS said there was plenty of beer in their local Mr M just not the more popular brands. Perish the thought Mr SA will have to drink a different brand 🤣
DS and the GKs came yesterday but I kept my distance as I wasn't feeling 100%. I was coughing a bit Friday night but it had gone by the morning. Then yesterday afternoon my chest started feeling tight and I didn't feel too chipper. This morning I feel ok just got a bit of a tickly cough, a clearing the throat type of thing that I wouldn't even give a second thought to under normal circumstances. To be honest it could be the anti-bacterial cleaning sprays as they always get on my chest. I'm afraid DGS wasn't on his best behaviour and I had to tell him off a couple of times.
Happy Mother's Day to the mums out there 🎈 I've got some lovely flowers from DD and prosecco from DS. Mr SA wanted to get me a card from the dog so I let him write out one of my birthday card stock that didn't have any references to birthdays.
Plans for today are to give the dog a couple of good walks, thank goodness for the park across the road, and the garden needs a really good tidy up. The weather is lovely and sunny but cold so will need to wrap up well. I've been up since 6am and already put a colour on my hair. Will also do finances. The money I was saving to pay for the August holiday will be sent to the Emergency Fund to top it up to £4k then the rest will pay off this week's overspend. I spent a fair bit last week especially on Friday when I knew it was probably going to be the last time for a while I'd be in town - I even got light bulbs finally. As I found when I was off with the broken leg, my local shops are quite limited. The money I had saved for the April holiday will be rolled forward to the August holiday, although not entirely confident that one will be going ahead either.
Have a good day folks xx

The dog has been on the park although we didn't stay long as the little so and so ran off. It wasn't easy running after her in wellies up a steep bank. Her problem is she doesn't like dogs bigger than her, which is most dogs as she's a Jack Russell. She likes to have the park all to herself. She's daft as there were only 2 other dogs there and they were right down the bottom end nowhere near her.
The Mr M online orders now have to be amended 48 hours before delivery instead of the night before so have gone in pretty sharpish to check my Tuesday delivery. Everything in my basket is in stock at the moment but then I'm going for the things I need rather than the things folks are stock piling.
Have just remembered to cancel my airport lounge booking for the April holiday so that's £40 winging it's way back. I always book us in the lounge as I can deposit Mr SA in there with unlimited coffee and bacon rolls while I look round the shops in peace, then we always have a glass of bubbly when I get back - worth every penny.
DD has just left for work, she's not looking forward to it as they've moved her from behind the scenes to the garden centre. They let her do the behind the scenes stuff because of her agoraphobia and anxiety but they've closed her counter for the time being so she has to go out front where she's needed. I expect it'll be quite busy now attention is turning to gardening.

Hi SA - Happy Mothers Day!💐💐💐💐
I do hope your DD doesn't get too anxious at work. I'm sorry I don't know how things work behind the scenes at her supermarket but would she be able to work out the back in the stores in view of her agrophobia? You're right about the rise in gardening now that so many are at home.
Naughty dog - I hope you didn't lose a welly running up the bank after her! At least she bought you a Mother's Day card in mitigation!😁
You appear as thoroughly organised as usual SA - Good on yer!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

SSG - DD prepares food for the salad and pizza bar in the back so only has to go up front to put it on the counter occasionally.
Have spent a couple of hours in the garden in the lovely sunshine. Got loads of tidying up done and more or less filled the garden waste bin. Sat for half an hour with my book right at the bottom of the garden where it's warm and sheltered. If we've all got to stay home please let's have some warm sunny weather.
Overheard a conversation between my neighbours saying how many years have we lived next door to each other and this is the longest conversation we've had, some good coming out of all this. We all have very long secluded gardens with nothing at the back of us so we rarely see each other. I live next door to a church so only have a neighbour on one side. At least we're all good from a social distancing perspective.
Our local pub is selling its food, beer and wine stocks half price, bring your own container for the beer. Not telling Mr SA about the beer or he'll be emptying the wheelie bin and towing it behind his scooter 😂

That made me laugh SA what you said about Mr SA towing the wheelie bin 😂🤣. I hope DD copes working in the garden section.
I hope you don't have the virus but it could easily be the anibac sprays as you say. We're all going to be paranoid every time we cough or have a hot flush 😱.
