Things can only get better

Hi SA
Sad to see things are still very tough for you. You deal with things so well even if you can't see it.
Sometimes you just have to let out all those feelings to people who understand
Lots of love

Great to hear from you Pauline, you've been gone a while, hope everything is ok with you xx
That's Monday done very painlessly. Mental note to work from home on Mondays as often as I can.
Dentists was ok, only had a polish, back in 6 months. Have Denplan so nothing to pay.
Low spend day today just a paper, bread and milk.
Did finances, last week of budget, running very close to going over budget will have to be careful, might have to shuffle a few pots around. CC balance is now down to £41, should be completely caught up at the end of the week. Then I can start adding to EF.
Got a fairly quiet week at work, I'm on a couple of workshops, working from home on Thursday and an early finish on Friday as I'm at the hairdressers. Exercise wise I'm at Pilates on Wednesday (the tough one not the rubbish one) and Kettlefit on Thursday.
WW have changed their plan again - you can choose to have more points but fewer zero point foods (basically back to Pro Points), stay on flex (I think I'll do this) or have more zero point foods and fewer points. Still waiting for them to make wine and gin zero points, dream on :rotfl:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
I’m waiting for SW to make wine free too but I’ll dream on too :rotfl::rotfl:
SA you do an amazing job with Mr SA and the rest of your family. It’s been a long slog for you, I admire your determination to keep on keeping on :A:TJanuary spends - £587.580 -

Hello Sun.A, :hello:
Just read your last couple of pages..
(((Hugs))) heading your way across the ether. I was sad to read DH is still, umm, difficult. You are an inspiration; the patience you have for his daft ideas and desires.. He is so lucky but does not realise!
What would happen if you had this conversation with him?Sun_Addict wrote: »Thanks Beanie, it's wearing thin now and I've really had enough of it. I don't think it even crosses his mind that I could easily decide to say let's sell up, split the proceeds and wash my hands of him. Then what would he do?
As part of a general discussion on planning for the future, of course.. Just a possibility at one end of a scale of probability - what my DH liked to call "the direction of our End Game."
Or is your DH too impaired to grasp the concept? From what you write, in some narrow fields he's still quite canny isn't he? Avoiding the useful tasks he could do because they don't appeal as activities [rebuilding a bike rather than gardening or a little light housework - for goodness sake!].
Difficulty of thinking - can very much relate to that, though. As you can probably guess. Hmm.0 -
Robin~~Good point.
Yes, Mr SA is very canny in some ways.
I coulden't think how to put it but canny is exactly right.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. That's the sad thing about brain injuries and traumas, they change the person and it's usually the family especially the closet people who suffer. If this is the case for Mr SA then sadly it's not his fault that he is this way. Was he like this before the diagnosis. I feel so sorry for you SA, it is relentless and there is no break for you. You have been through "the mill" as well. I hope things work out for you and soon life eases up.
Amber SA I can empithise with you as I am wife carer to hubby with brain tumour and complicated medical history. It is so difficult as they have no outside signs ie leg in cast for others to see.
Whether its friends family or even the so called medical proffessions . I find my husband is not the man I married and loved anymore. He is often like a two yearold throwing a tantrum inside an adults body when with me. Then becomes mr nice guy when with others. Behaves like an adult puts me down makes me feel inadequate andI would like to run away.
lol tried thisat weekend hubby back in hospital - i am accussed of safe guarding issues by charge nurse.
I am so stressed with seeing poor medical pracise by the professionals being judged as only wife and full time carer. very long sad story.....
but to my running away
. chemist closed so got on bus to go to city centre to purchase pain relief (I had accident on husbands ward fell over another patients zimmer frame knocked out! no boken bones but ligament brusing very ouchy) bus stopped at railway station - I got off and decided to go to kew gardens. by time i travelled to London then got across underground kew was closed! So booked hotel and went next day.
All I wanted to do was find peace amongst the trees n flowers.
have prehistoric phone so no acess to internet no charger i dont know kids mobiles as just press button . so they were worried. I did have a few hours where I was me and felt relaxed first time in ages.
Back home adult children not talking to me .. hospital have discharged husband home on new meds and others differnt dossage. Yet i was reported and banned from seeing him in hospital. But care is back to me!!! could not get appointment for our gp. only locum gp who advise call smaratins!
Sorry for poor grammar and spelling and off loading on your page SA. But do truely understand where you are.
hugs

Oh Andrea what a terrible time you're having, so sorry to read all this. I find that family members don't understand or see how it is for the carer. Can you contact Carers UK or Carers Hub to see if they can help with respite care so you can have a break? Big hugs to you xx
Great to hear from you again Robin. I was thinking about you the other day and hoping you were ok. You've hit the nail right on the head, Mr SA can be devious and he's all there with money.
That's Monday to Thursday doneWeather has been dire here today, torrential rain and flooding, so pleased I've worked from home today. Managed to take the dog on the park for a run first thing before the heavens opened.
Still without a washing machine. The same old story, no parts on the van and they're on order, it needs a new motor, door lock and PCB (whatever that is). All covered by insurance but this is the 2nd time this year it's broke down and it's 2nd new motor in 6 years. Will have to go to the launderette this weekend, washing basket is overflowing. I've washed a few things by hand but I can't wring them out very well and they're taking forever to dry on the radiator. Boo
Cancelled my Kettlefit class tonight as I don't fancy getting soaked walking there and back.
Got a short day at work tomorrow, hairdressers in the afternoon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
