If you have the same problem after your cooker is out of guarantee, it's worth looking online for a video on how to replace the element. You need to borrow a spare pair of hands to hold everything in place but that's a lot cheaper than getting a specialist in. (If DH and I can do it, it can't be that difficult
).
I didn't know about using the grill; must remember that.
Hope it's fixed post haste and you have a good weekend!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Blimey.
Tis all go at your end.
Good that the cooker is going to be fixed. I hate those nights when you get in and all you can do is eat and clear up.

Saturday
Lost half a pound at WWJust 2.5lbs to go to back at goal.
DS and the GKs came this afternoon - I had to go after a while as I had a hair appointment at 3pm. After the hairdressers went in the pub next door - I got the drinks in then phoned Mr SA to say there ws a pint on the table. I had a gorgeous Whitley Nell blood orange gin with orange tonic. Bloomin' lovelyNot cheap in this pub however - £10.85 for the round but I think they want to keep the riff raff out - which they have. It's a lovely pub, very small but atmospheric - and they have a resident cat. Can't believe someone moaned on their FB page about the cat as their child is allergic to cats - hello pubs are for adults not kids so chuff off. Sorry for the rant but this sort of thing gets me angry.
Mr SA is building up a pester list, he's been complaining he's got nothing to wear, no shoes and his winter coat doesn't zip up - sigh ££££££££I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Gin sounds lush.
My winter coat also doesn’t do up. Apparently I’ve been eating all the pies.
