It will be nice just to go a bit little further than the usual hello/goodbye/please/thank you. I’m not planning on getting into an in depth conversation, they speak far too fast 😆

We once went to a part of France where no one spoke a word of English. My French is very rusty but I mostly got by until they started jabbering away at 100 miles an hour and I was only picking up the odd word 😆 It was quite funny as it was obvious they didn’t usually get overseas tourists and they just assumed we were French.

    Happy Saturday 🥂

I have eyebrows again 🥳 Mr T had wood pellet cat litter 🥳

Enough of the good news, Mr SA has broken the motorcycling sunglasses I bought him just a couple of days ago 😩 Fortunately they were from Amazon and I’m getting a refund. To be fair they just snapped I don’t think he’s done anything to them.

DS and the GKs coming later, DIL is doing my nails.

Pizza and Prosecco tonight woo hoo.

Must get on with cleaning/tidying now.

Trying to work up the enthusiasm for some cleaning & tidying here too, @Sun_Addict......when all I can think of atm is whether I should have bought the black lacy thing I saw on the boutique market stall this morning. I decided not to because I really want something a bit warmer. I'm sure cleaning the loo & emptying bins will focus my attentions away from vaguely gothy glamour.

Nails now done, glittery purple, wasn’t my first choice but the original colour didn’t look right so DIL changed it. I love them anyway and they really sparkle in the sun. Very pleased with them and saved me a lot of money. I gave her £10 although she didn’t want to take it. Would’ve cost £25 in the local beauty salon. I need to do my toes tomorrow.

DS sorted out two of Mr SA’s many watches so the holiday watch pester is off but he’s moved onto a new man bag and sunglasses.

Mr SA knocked over the wax melt burner so there was wax all over a waxed pine cupboard. I managed to get most of the wax off but the cupboard will need re-waxing 😩 He even got wax on the floor.

We’ll have to go into town on Wednesday as Mr SA needs a couple of things, surprise surprise but will combine it with lunch out.

SA I always put some milk in the freezer before we go on holiday.

It's definitely worth having a long life milk in the cupboard - and yes, decant it into a washed out bottle to avoid fuss pots moaning, lol.

What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

    Morning, happy Sunday.

I’ve been up an hour and awake since 4.30. My head is spinning with things to remember to do. I must remember to check in online and print off the boarding passes today. I need to make a list.

Mr SA wanted to go in town today but I said no, today is going to be a holiday prep day. I don’t want to be doing everything on Wednesday. It’s alright for him he hasn’t got to do anything, not even pack his own case.

Today should be NSD 9/12. No way I’m going to hit target but might manage 10.

I’m doing a community litter pick this afternoon organised by the friends of the park across the road I belong to. Hopefully more will turn up than me and the organiser. I’ve told Mr SA I don’t want him scooting round us with the dog, he’s been warned to stay away.

I need to get everything out of the fridge and see what needs using up. Oh and I need to go to a local shop that does Amazon returns and drop off the parcel, can tie that in with taking the dog out.

Also must tell Mr SA not to leave his scooter on constant charge. Goodness knows how much that’s costing in electricity and there’s no need for it.

I’m on the last few pages of my current book so will finish it today - Hetty’s Farmhouse Bakery by Cathy Bramley, nice light read set in the Lake District, enjoyed it.

Could Mr SA not have a go at the litter pick? He could have the bag on his scooter and a long reach grabber
