It is, but a side effect can be that it makes it worse after a while. In my case it was 3 weeks but if I took them again well who knows. Also unlike cimetidine which works pretty much from day one Omeprazole takes weeks to start working.

There don't seem to be any long term ones apart from the fact that they don't work, which I suppose in a way is about as long term as it gets. If they work for you then they aren't a problem.

Mr SA has been on them for some time and he gets withdrawal symptoms if he misses one day. I have a friend who takes them with no problems whatsoever.I took the collar off the kitten tonight just to see how she reacted. It was quite funny as she was trying to help me take it off. She’s been fine and been giving herself a good wash. Really funny in that she revisited the collar and washed it as well 🤣 She’ll be able to go outside this weekend, quite nervous about it to be honest, a bit like I was when I let the dog off her lead for the first time. Tomorrow she’s a year old so no longer a kitten.Mr SA is a barrel of laughs tonight and seems to think he’s not long for this world.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
