I hope that your GP will continue to investigate Mr SA's continence issues.  It's awful for both of you.
glad you found your keys .... I lost my dressing gown tonight ... it was in the washing machine (obviously as I'd put it in there this morning)

Mr M delivery arrived earlier, no subs or missing items. I half expected the slot to have mysteriously moved to tomorrow 😆

WFH again today so will have to go into the office tomorrow and Friday.

The weather looks fine and dry so another load of washing is out. I need to do a bit of cleaning up today too, vacuum and mop the floors.

Today's exercise is lunchtime dog walking and a live HIIT class after work.

Trying a new recipe tonight - curried cod with cauliflower and chickpeas traybake from an old Good Food magazine. I'll make 2 portions of the cauliflower and chickpea part to take to work for lunch tomorrow.

I've set Mr SA the task of ringing the doctors, he can put me on the line if they can't tell what he's saying. He hasn't been able to get through as yet.

Mr SA finally got through to the doctors and had a face to face appointment at 10am. It’s opened a right Pandora’s box though as the doctor has referred him to the skin cancer clinic for the mole on his head that keeps bleeding and a gastroenterologist for his stomach issues. He’s on medication for high blood pressure and his omeprazole has been swapped for a different drug as it could be causing the stomach issues.

Blimey. Sounds like that was a worthwhile phone consultation!

I couldn't believe it when I read the side effects of omeprazole.  I'd been taking it about 3 weeks when my stomach instead of getting better was getting worse.  Yes a side effect.  Bring back cimetidine all is forgiven.  Only had to take it for a couple of days rather than all the time too.  New & improved!!  It does sound like they have opened a whole can of worms.  Hopefully it is just them being extremely cautious as they have not seen some people for such a long time when they normally would have.

I'm just glad they're looking into things properly now. The doctor has told him he must sit in the shade when it's sunny and wear a hat and high factor sunscreen. He previously had an outdoor job for years and has a very fair skin with lots of moles so very prone to skin cancer. I've nagged him about this for years, he won't wear high factor sunscreen as he thinks it stops him getting a tan - he's so fair he doesn't get one anyway! Apparently he should get a call from the skin cancer clinic in the next 2 days with an appointment so things are moving fast.

Typical - it was lovely and sunny when I went into a work meeting at 11am, I had two loads of washing almost dry on the line. By the time the meeting had finished it was pouring with rain.

@Sun_Addict - This is probably a longshot, but does Mr SA regularly consume any foods which contain certain artificial sweeteners as ingredients? I experience significant digestive disturbances if I eat even quite small amounts of things containing sorbitol (& another similar one, can't remember the name). I was able to make the link some years ago when I bought a healthy lifestyle magazine which had a sample of some sugar-free sweets on the cover. There were only about 5 or 6 small sweets but the side effects kicked in pretty swiftly. I've tested this since & I definitely have an inability to tolerate sorbitol. Without getting too graphic about it, it causes bloating then 'the trots'! Even something as insignificant as a couple of pieces of sugar-free gum produces the bloating stage so I just check ingredients & avoid anything containing sorbitol or similar. Just a thought, anyway.

No he doesn't have anything with sorbitol on it that I know of. He uses Sweetex in his coffee but the ingredients just say saccharin. Looking at which foods have sorbitol in, I was surprised to see apples and berries on the list. I can't eat sugar free sweets as they give me bad pains in my stomach.

Apparently the Omeprazole causes upset tummies amongst other things so will be worth seeing if the new tablets make a difference.

Mr SA couldn't wait for his prescription to be delivered so went down to the chemists to pick it up. We were on the park with the dog and he just literally whizzed off on his scooter without saying where he was going. Anyway he's come back with more Omeprazole!!!! I've spoken to the chemists and they haven't received anything from the doctor. So I'm now in a queue on the phone to the doctors trying to find out what's happened.
