Morning, happy Thursday, another day another dollar.
Should be NSD 7/15 today so hopefully nothing unexpected pops up. If I can make it to 12 I'll be happy.
The cats have been fed, had their mad half hour and are now sleeping it off. They made an attempt to get me up at 4.30am but I shooed them off.
Going to take 30 minutes for a walk again this morning, get some fresh air, might take the dog for an early run on the park when she eventually gets up. Doing a WW live Pilates class at lunchtime then a live cook along at 6pm. I'm practically living in that WW app at the moment 🤣 I hope they keep all this stuff going when things go back to normal.
Started a new book this morning, another one that's been on my shelf forever - The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald. It's about a woman who moves from Sweden to Iowa and opens a book shop out in the sticks.
Tonight's dinner is cauliflower curry from the freezer with rice. Mr SA is having sausages and mash in a giant Yorkshire pudding, one of his favourite meals.
Not a lot else happening just work and the usual Spanish, cleaning and dog walking.

Just had an email from Jet2 to say our flight to Lanzarote is leaving 1.5 hours later meaning we won’t get to the hotel until around 9pm. We fly on Mr SA’s birthday so most of it will be spent at airports or on a plane. We’ll have to just dump the cases in the room and look for the nearest restaurant. We’re there for 10 nights so plenty of time to celebrate. Must book the airport lounge asap as it might be busy in the afternoon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

It's exciting when you start getting communications about travel times, it brings it all much nearer.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Exciting that travel is back on the agenda for you. We have a trip to Canada booked for September but still not sure if we can go. Canada still says essential travel only and there are lots of hoops to jump through plus not sure travel insurance affordable after DHs open heart surgery a few months back.

Happy Friday 😊
It should be NSD 8/15 today. Creeping up slowly.
Going back to the office physically not imminent yet for my office, it will also be a phased return starting with 1 day a week. They're waiting for an update on social distancing guidelines so they know how many desks can be released. We are also moving to a brand new building in 6 weeks so it will probably be better to stay out of the way whilst removals are being undertaken. It'll be weird going to a different location as I've spent the past 22 years treading the well worn path to the current one. It's only a stone's throw away so it will actually be about 5 minutes less walking in the morning.
Exercise today will be dog walking x 2, strength training and a stretch session. Didn't quite hit my 15k steps yesterday so that will be a priority today. Usual daily Spanish, cleaning, washing and ironing. Tonight's dinner is scampi, swede chips and veg. Mr SA is having scampi, normal chips and mushy peas - we are almost having the same thing tonight, doesn't happen often!
I have a monthly plan for my printer HP Instant Ink, they are putting up the price from £1.99 a month to £2.99 for 50 pages. I never print off that many pages so have downgraded it to 10 pages a month for £0.99. Also thinking about cancelling my Spotify Premium subscription again as I rarely use it. I cancelled it last year then was lured back with 3 months free.
Just heard the sad news that Meatloaf has passed away. Used to love Two out of Three Ain't Bad back in the day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I don't think as many people will be rushing back to the office as Boris thinks . We have all learnt a new way of working which I personally think fits more with 21st century living. It's great to have the choice to work where you want that works best for you.Our flight is 6am in the morning in April so we will be hopefully be drinking a glass of wine by lunchtime 😀.
Have a good day SA .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.6 -
