Super busy day for you , I am always glad to get the decorations away , but then can't wait for them to come back out again.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.5

I am really wanted to rearrange downstairs, our tree isn't coming down till the weekend and it will all happen then! I am really excited about it!!Nevertheless she persisted.5

I took the bits we had up down today. It doesn't help that I am hideously allergic to conifers, but for the first time we didn't have a tree and nobody commented. We went with subtle battery powered lights and a few bits which was enough to be festive. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I didn’t get around to doing the meal plan or finances, not the end of the world can be done tomorrow. The decorations were a priority with me being back at work tomorrow. Thankfully the tree is artificial and can be reused every year. We always used to have a real tree but found a brilliant one online from Wilko about 3 years ago, it looks very realistic and is quite easy to put up.Roasted a butternut squash, red onion, red pepper and some cherry tomatoes tonight, some went into making Mediterranean cod and the rest made soup for work lunches this week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

We have an artificial tree. Couldn't trust the dog not to wee on a real one 🤣🤣🤣
We got a good quality one and it does look quite real. Miss the smell of a real tree though not so much the vacuuming up needles though.5 -
We have real - this year's has been lovely. Barely any dropping. It's loveliness means its still up which is unusual for us. Its going tomorrow though. All the other decorations are away but the outside lights will stay until 5th as the neighbours all do that and we don't like to let the side down at both ends as we are always last to put them up!
Happy New Year SA , I hope you get your holidays this year and that Mr SA's coat lasts longer than a week.6 -

I always read your posts. I have a small wrist too, when I changed my fit bit I went for the Charge 5, as I had a very basic fitbit. I love this one though. I would miss not having one, i hope your new one comes quicklyI am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
Back to work for me today, should be a fairly quiet one, a lot of people are still off.
I've had a message from Royal Mail to say they have my Fitbit so hopefully it will be here today or tomorrow. Really missing it as I use it as a watch as well as to track my steps. My wrist feels really bare.
Mr M delivery coming this afternoon so will be a spends day. Oddment of £8.41 sent to Christmas 2022 pot, now stands at £40.51. Another £250 has gone to the regular saver now standing at £1750 and another £100 overpayment gone to the additional borrowing part of the mortgage (need to check the balance on this).
Today's to do list (aside from work):
Exercise: 20 mins strength training session, 15 tricep dips and 20 squats as many times in the day as can be fitted in, lunchtime walk with the dog.
Cleaning: kitchen and ironing.
Meal plan for next 7 days. I saw a good idea on the BBC Good Food FB page where someone is challenging themselves to make one recipe a week from each of their cookbooks in the order they're on the shelf. Might try this although I have that many cookbooks it will probably take me a year to get through them all!
10 x Spanish lessons
Finish reading current book, only a few pages to go. Last of the Christmas books.
I've started back tracking on my WW app after several weeks of being slack with it. It's just getting back into the habit.
Better get on with the paid stuff...I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
