The last couple of months we have tried to get people in to give us quotes to have either our bathroom or driveway done. No luck up to now, either they don’t ring or email back with a quote. Have been told it’s because so many people are after tradesmen, they can pick and choose what they do. Hopefully this year we can do the bathroom, which is only small, did want a bit of an extension but no joy getting a builder interested.Good luck going into town tomorrow with Mr SA.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.004

Happy New Year’s Eve 🥳🥂
Finally payday. Need to do finances but that can wait until we get back from town, will be setting off shortly, although no sign of Mr SA getting up yet.
The cats are tearing through the house again and have been playing football with a little jingle ball, so funny to watch 🤣
Today’s plans are town, lunch out, finances, Spanish, ironing and a quick clean round.

Total nightmare with Mr SA in town. He must’ve tried on at least 30 different coats. I get so used to how he his at home and today has been a real reality check in just how bad his brain damage and mobility are when he’s out. He’s a nightmare on escalators, nearly fell down them twice 😱 He was just picking up any coat and trying it on regardless of size or suitability. We went in so many shops I was losing the will to live. He finally found one he liked and that fitted him in M&S, it wasn’t in the sale unfortunately but by this time I was willing to pay anything just to get out of the shop.We had a lovely lunch in town on the way home. I had a vegan burger in a beetroot bun and it was absolutely delicious 😋 I also had 2 glasses of wine, purely medicinal to ease my stress 😆
We left the house at 9am and finally got home at 3pm. Had to take the dog out for a run as soon as we got back. I’m shattered now, done 25,000 steps non stop apart from the break for lunch.Don’t think I’ll see midnight tonight 🥱I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Thought our step count was good today at 20k but you have been further 🤣🤣🤣5

Had a quick look at finances seeing as it’s payday, have sent £150 to the EF just so I can say it’s now standing at £6k before the end of 2021 and paid off my CC balance. The rest of the shuffling can wait until tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

You are definitely a candidate for living sainthood ffor coping with all those coats, for the escalator, and not even counting the steps. I'd have been self medicating waaaay sooner. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?5
