@Sun_Addict hope you both stay well and DD makes a quick recovery. I'm sure you know this, but there are millions of people living at close quarters with others who tested positive who escape it entirely! Keep us posted xx

Hopefully we will be ok. DD is wearing a mask around us but I’ve touched hands with her passing the kitten over. It is what it is unfortunately.

Sorry to read about your cousin.

If it’s any comfort, when DD4 tested positive for Covid in October, none of the rest of us got it despite being in the same house.

I hope your DD is soon better and the rest of you don't get it. It does seem hit and miss who gets it and who doesn't.

Will you get time to do the job application?

Don't worry about the Obsidian League, its easy enough to get out of (I've just done so) and this time of year who has the time to spend on keeping your place in a league?

Probably a matter of just weeks away: I think you can only go up one league a week. However, if you have time before Christmas, I'd be surprised!

The leagues are a bit of fun and designed to motivate, I think, but what really matters is progress on your chosen language(s). Not making the diamond league doesn't actually matter in real life, however hard Duo tried to convince you otherwise!

@Cherryfudge My main languages are revising Welsh and Spanish.  I have largely abandoned attempts at Scottish and Irish Gaelic as they are very badly taught by Duolingo. I feel very frustrated that it is practically impossible to progress quickly to a reasonably advanced level quickly. I used to teach languages for a living. 
Which languages are you doing?
