  • Thanks SA. I have been catching up on your diary but still a little behind. Hope all is good.

Some good news today, I passed another accounting exam and am now classed as a part qualified accountant. Only 4 professional papers to pass and then will be fully qualified. :j

Shame I cannot have a drink to celebrate :rotfl:

That's brilliant news :) Hopefully you'll be well enough to celebrate in style soon. The world will be your oyster once you're fully qualified :)

  • Quick update. Feeling really good now and all ill effects have now passed. I am expecting to complete my purchase tomorrow, so watch this space.

I have managed to keep up with many of my goals. I have gone through a lot of paperwork, still more to go through.

I am back at the gym and managed 5 days last week and saw a personal trainer.

Still off the alcohol, but tomorrow may change that as being on the property ladder is such a special celebration for me that I may have to have a glass of champagne.

Have still been spending as little as possible and managed to get together all fees, deposit etc. I will have hardly any money for February but will own my own place :rotfl:

I haven't sent off my mobile phone for recycling and must get that sorted.

    Have a good week.

  • I completed on my house purchase last Thursday and it was such an exciting day. It is such a milestone for me as I have done this on my own salary and after splitting with my ex husband and having to sell the house we owned with hardly any equity in it, it feels so lovely to be back on the property ladder. I had to abort dry January and celebrate with a bottle of champagne.

I have managed about 3 sessions at the gym and have been physically active stripping wallpaper in my new home.

Have still been spending as little as possible and managed to pay all my fees, deposit etc. Not much to last me through February though.

I still haven't sent off my mobile phone for recycling and must get that sorted.

Joined slimming world and lost 2.5lb in my first week.

  • Had a lovely meal out with my mum yesterday, great to spend some time with her and she treated me. Then skittles to top the evening off.

I have had one day at the gym this week so far, off to a zumba class tonight and the personal trainer tomorrow. So all good on the exercise front.

Been stripping wallpaper at the house and clearing the garden. Carpets to be cleaned today and looking to move into the house next weekend.

Have a few performance goals to submit regarding my accounting qualification and a small exam to take this during February before getting back into studying for another paper which I will sit in June.

Have decided to budget my weekly spend on food, fuel and going out to £4000 per year or £333.33 per month and will then have £1000 per year on standby for treats such as holidays and clothes.

Then I can concentrate on throwing the rest at my DMP.

Another year has come upon us and another anniversary celebration on the weekend with my boyfriend. We are off for a meal, so must try to stick to the slimming world plan.

    Enjoy the weekend all

  • Thanks SA.

Had a lovely meal out on Saturday night and enjoyed a few more cheeky drinks. The trouble was I put back on 1.5 lbs. One good thing is that it has made me so much more determined this week.

I have had 2 days at the gym so far this week with 2 more gym sessions planned and a class. No alcohol so far this week, that will change on Friday/Saturday I would think.

Been stripping wallpaper at the house. Few more things to sort out, internet going in today and decided to move in on the weekend of 15th Feb. So at least we have this weekend to give the place a good clean. I will book a couple of days off to settle in after the mad rush.

It will be a good time to declutter so looking forward to having a good clear out.

Have a good weekend everyone
