    I had a response to my ticket:

    Hi there,
     
    Thanks for getting in touch.
     
    We experienced a service outage between 2am -9am (GMT+1) 26th June. This meant that between these times our platform was unavailable and our customers couldn’t access and use Prolific as they normally would. We know this service outage has been frustrating and inconvenient for many of you.
     
    Our dedicated technical team has been working on getting a fix in place. I'm happy to let you know our platform is up and running again. We're really sorry for the impact this may have had on you.
     
    If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Doing a quick happy dance.

    I was doing a survey where you had to complete a game on an app every night for a week and you get paid at the end £27 if you finish everything.
    I accidentally closed the thing down with one bit still left to do and had to go back into it via a different way, so I was worried I wouldn’t get paid. 
    Just have the money hit my account. I am so relieved.

    All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

    Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    I'm still having problems with my email address and I would like to change it on MSE.  Clicking  "Account and Privacy settings" on the top right shows my present email address but I can't see how to change my email address.  Is there a separate link somewhere to allow me to change my MSE Forum email address, please or should I ask on The Techie Forum?

    Are you not seeing a pencil to the right of your e-mail address, where it says "Email Confirmed"?  Or does clicking on the pencil not take you to the "Edit Email" pop-up?  If you are not seeing the pop-up, do you have pop-ups disabled in your browser?

    In "Account and Privacy Settings" there should be a little pencil icon next to your email address, which you can click on to edit it.

    I was clicking on the email address and not on the pencil.  Thanks to your information, MollyR,  I clicked on the pencil and have just successfully changed my email address.  Very much appreciated.

    Glad you got it done.  A pencil like that is very frequently used as an indicator of "Edit" - you may well come across it elsewhere.

    Is anyone having problems signing in for the picture surveys? Its the first time I have been asked to do it and it wouldnt work. The link they said to report problems on did not work either. Is there a way to contact Prolific rather than the survey provider

    The usual chatbot in the bottom right-hand corner - once it has failed to come up with an answer two or three times, it will agree to let you pass a message to Support.
