Looks like it's school holidays in the US - I am currently being invited to take part in 19 studies.... 17 of them from fas.harvard.edu

Grabbed one of them and managed to complete in time after I'd eaten as it had 51 minute completion time.Reminds me, I need to cash out. Had a nice £13.50 study with a £2.25 optional bonus task pay out today. A benefit of passing a milestone birthday is getting a load of age related brain studies it would appear.Make £2025 in 2025

No, in my experience unless the attention checks are right at the start when they’re seeing if you’ve understood the instructions you don’t get booted out partway through.trix-a-belle said:Recently come back to prolific after a break and after the researcher sitting on my response for one survey for nearly 2 weeks has then rejected it for 'failing attention check questions' surely if there was a pass/fail attention check I should have been rejected mid survey, not after completion (+ 2 weeks), was a reasonable pay too
Do you know what attention check you might have failed because if you think it’s unreasonable, you can challenge with the researcher. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You could refer the researcher to https://researcher-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360009501033-Failed-attention-checks and https://researcher-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360009223553-Prolific-s-Attention-and-Comprehension-Check-Policy - if their attention checks were in contravention of the policy, you should get paid.

Anyone had a PEC-SUB-0002 error when trying to start a study? Prolific's help page at https://participant-help.prolific.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360012393100-PEC-Errors says this is because my IP address has been flagged due to having been reported on other websites, but I have absolutely no idea why that would be the case. In any case, I don't think I can change my IP address (restarting my router doesn't do it), and in any case, I get the same error when using my phone's data connection - i.e., a different IP. I've submitted a ticket, is there anything else I can try in the meantime except wait for a response?

OK, this is as annoying as hell. I've restarted my phone twice, checked that I had a different IP each time, and I just keep getting the same error. Has my phone network provider's entire network been flagged (and coincidentally my home IP at the same time)? I've already missed two decently paying studies because of this. I had a reply from Prolific, they basically said my IP (all four of them, presumably) has been automatically flagged but they can't tell me why, and it might be reversed at some point but they can't tell me when.olliebean said:Anyone had a PEC-SUB-0002 error when trying to start a study? I share your frustration. I've been battling this issue on a daily basis for the best part of a year, ever since I started using a mobile data connection for my internet. I've missed out on countless studies because of it. Prolific support are unwilling or unable to fix it. All you get are scripted responses, telling you to try things you've already tried without success.olliebean said:

Sometimes putting my phone into airplane mode works to reset the IP address but then 5 minutes later the pop up error will be back again. I've tried all kinds of things to resolve it and the method I've had most success with is having a second sim in my phone, switching mobile data to that in order to start the study and then switch back again. However in the time it takes to do that the study has usually filled up anyway.
If you check the Prolific reddit pages you will find lots of discussions about it and some further suggestions. I hope you get it sorted soon.0 -

Is anyone else having problems accessing this Study? I have only managed to get as far as entering my Prolific ID then the page seems to freeze. I have tried several times but I eventually Returned the Study.
I contacted The Researcher but the system seems to be very slow and I received no reply after half an hour.0 -
I got another response emphasising that the block only applies to my "current IP address," whilst completely ignoring that I was making the point that I've tried four different IP addresses and got the same error with all of them. The suggestions on the reddit pages all seem to be "get a new IP address," but I can't do that on my fixed internet connection and it doesn't make any difference on my phone.fabsaver said:
