Yes, exactly the same here Slinky - Inconsistent responses Please return the submission.

I have messaged the researcher asking for more info on the inconsistent responses.

I also messaged the researcher, no response as yet. Don't want to get a rejection as I've never had a rejected survey, but I can't work out what I did wrong.

  • Same here, really strange?
Have emailed twice and got no reply?
Also have recalled submission and says no harm to my account.
    All very odd

Same here, inconsistent responses. Given the questions they asked, I think they may have been registering all participants as TikTok users even if we didn't select it as one of the social networks we used, since the next question was about how often I use TikTok and I suspect "Never" may have been the response they thought was inconsistent. I messaged them back detailing the responses I gave and asking them to explain what the inconsistency was. No response yet, but the initial message was obviously automated as it arrived instantly after submission. Haven't returned the submission yet.

Has anybody actually done the survey successfully? Any TikTokers on here?

  • How does income tax work with this? Presumably they don't deduct income tax so you have to declare your earnings to HMRC if you're a taxpayer. How can they get away with paying less than the minimum wage - are you counted as self-employed?

You are not employed by Prolific, so the minimum wage cannot conceivably apply.

You only have to declare survey income if you’re earning more than 1K a year.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Thanks. I'm not interested in doing them, I was just curious.

Is there any checks to this, for example if I went £50 over what would happen
