Prolific Academic Survey Alerts

And until you did, you would be better not to post about it on the Internet!

MollyR said:The other thing to bear in mind is that this is unlike regular survey sites. You must always answer accurately and truthfully, rather than telling them what you think they want to hear (as some people do with other survey sites, so as not to get screened out). People's academic studies depend on the answers that we give to their questions here! So long as you do that, you will find that it is well paid and that there are enough - but not too many - studies offered to you.I agree, I used to do YouGov surveys but gave them up as I felt they were looking for particular answers and, as you say, if you didn't give the answers they wanted then the number of surveys offered dried up.It's for this reason I disregard anything I see in the media etc which is based around YouGov survey results as I don't think they're an accurate representation of what people think about various subjects.0

Anybody getting surveys at the moment? I've haven't had a squeak at anything since Friday. Often Mondays can be quite busy.

I have had two this morning but very quiet all weekend apart from ones already full when notification received.
One of the two this morning was full after reserving a place when spaces were available so had to Return that one and the other one was 4 minutes/80 pence and that one is pending.
I hope you get some studies soon, Slinky.1 -
I've already done 4 surveys this morning! They come and go, I don't look for them all the time, only when I have some spare, which perhaps means I'm more likely to see a few when I do look.

I got that one as well, Slinky. Otherwise all quiet, so far, today apart from another three, spaces available, but already full.1

Been very quiet lately. First when I signed up last year, I could pretty much guarantee at least £5 a day, but not any more. Had 80p so far today and nothing over the weekend, but then weekends are often quiet.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Is it true that with Prolific earnings >1,000 pounds a self-assessment becomes necessary? I thought the earnings just get added to what let's say I earn in my day job, and it increases the taxable income (and hence can have an impact on tax rate etc). Why would that alone be a reason to complete the self-assessment?0

Somehow you are going to need to declare the income in order to pay the tax. The only way I can think that you can do that is through self assessment.Zuzi said:Is it true that with Prolific earnings >1,000 pounds a self-assessment becomes necessary?
