A Study About Human Decision Making (with additional bonus)
By Behavioral Experiments UGOEBI£1.50 • £4.55/hr19 mins0 places
I started this Study with good intentions. After 28 minutes I was totally frustrated and knew that I would never be able to finish in anything close to the estimated 15 minutes. I struggled to understand the long and complicated instructions and kept having to go back to read them again.
I hope others have had better success than I had with this one. I Returned the Study after 28 minutes.0 -

That 19 minutes is the average of the people who have completed it, OP said it was estimated at 15 minutes which would have been £6 per hour. It's only when you've spent way more time than they estimate, and so have others, that the true poor rate emerges.

Got rejected for the survey "Household Energy Study" for completing it too quickly! It was one of 5 surveys and I do remember it was a bit tedious as you had to give meter readings for the last three months. Which took a while to find and work out! So can’t remember rushing through it! Still saved myself another 4 surveys so perhaps a blessing in disguise!0

Thanks for the alert, I've just had this one pop up with another 50 slots available. The time taken now is an average 22 minutes with pay at £4.07 per hour. Fortunately I missed out on it but would have binned it anyway given your experience.

Voice Assistant
By Nima Heirati
Has anyone else had this message?
"You have been asked to return your submission for "Voice Assistant" for the following reason(s): - Didn't finish the study Please return the submission"
The survey description said this:
"You are invited to participate in a study regarding the voice assistance device/speaker. You should own and have the experience of using Amazon Echo, Eco Dot, Eco Studio, or Echo Show to pass pre-screening questions. This questionnaire will only take 3-5 minutes to complete."
A few questions into the study, I think I said that the device I had was an Echo Dot, then I was screened out. From what I can see I fulfilled the criteria in the description so shouldn't have been screened out. (Although I thought prolific pre screened and studies couldn't screen you out..). Looks like I then marked the study as Complete with NOCODE, but definitely added a comment with the completion about this screening out.
I'm not sure what to do now, whether I should just return the study, or kick up a fuss with the researcher. I just don't want them to reject it instead.
