Completed this one, partly through I kept getting a server 500 error. Messaged researcher, they provided a new link for me to complete, that did have all my previous answers saved. So I continued to the end and had a completion code.
Now they have messaged me saying my answers weren’t sufficiently varied and  I was too quick and that I should repeat. I’ve said my answers were honest, I can’t have been too quick because it took ages to keep refreshing screens before I gave up on the server errors, so I’m guessing they only counted some of the time.
I’ve messaged back that I’m not prepared to change answers I gave honestly just to satisfy their expectations as  that would devalue the survey in my eyes.

    Anything else I could do?

Beware of this one - it offers 85p for 4 minutes, but when you enter it, it says it will take 30 minutes!  No way!

Just wondering how the assistant works and if it is worth it?  I've just put it on and other than speaking telling me new studies are available (but there weren't) I can't see any other information.  I thought it was meant to show what studies were available?
I recently got a new laptop and had trouble with the alerts as it kept putting itself into Do Not Disturb mode and I got the same thing, I would hear the voice but nothing to click on. Fiddling around with Notifications sorted it in the end.  I do find it's worth it even though sometimes it gives me an alert well after I've seen the same study come up on the usual screen.  Also sometimes when I first switch the machine on I get a backlog of expired studies pop up, but it's better than not having at at all.

I did that one. I recall seeing the 30 minutes thing in the opening summary, but it actually took 5 minutes. If you hover over the time taken, the average is 5 minutes, the maximum allowed was 30. I think it was badly worded.

  • Does anyone ever bother with the “HR Video Survey” ones?

Pays 36p for you to use your webcam to record an interview question response.

Clearly takes longer than the 3 mins they claim.

I've ignored that one today, didn't like the look of it. I tend to go for low-hanging fruit that doesn't require video, audio or software downloads. I'm sure that some of those are probably good, but I CBA if it's not doable on desktop or mobile on silent.
Had a couple of half decent ones today even with those self-imposed restrictions

Also reject that one. I agree it is a poor return for the effort involved.

Anybody had the one from Prolific Ltd asking for your opinion on their surveys? Asks for your password amongst other questions. I didn't put mine in! Right at the bottom it tells you not to put passwords in on Google forms........  It completed without a code generated which I thought was odd.

I exited the study and reported that it had asked for personal information. I didn't like that it asked for that level of detail and I don't see how it's relevant.

It was also showing as underpaying at £2,53 per hour when I started it so was tempted to report it as underpaying as well!
