  • Anyone do the university of Amsterdam one about CO2 emissions.  I thought it was a lot of work for £3 but after a very slow week I'll take anything.  Just wondering if anyone got a large bonus. On mine it said it would've been £1.50. I didn't select it on that round so I got nothing.

I had the same, bonus would have been £1.50 but the minimum I chose was £2.50. Just glad the whole thing only lasted 20 minutes rather than the 30 stated.

It keeps appearing for me, but on the basis of your comments I don’t think I can be bothered.

I just completed that study, but got a blank page instead of a completion code.  Given that they lied about the study containing nothing false or misleading (because they then deliberately interrupted the task with totally unnecessary and useless "attention checks"), I don't trust them not to have withheld a completion code deliberately, and I have told them so.  I took a screenshot of the final page (I was able to use my Back button to get it) and told them I will send it to Prolific if they do not pay me for the study.

I think I had this pop up a couple of times this afternoon, but both times the few slots remaining were full.

How often does the Prolific widget check do you know?

Had this one tonight (have had it before and I think with the same issues).

Issue is you get this, several times:

This study had a 59 minute take up so I knew I could message the researcher.  Who to be fair, did answer straight away but blamed it on Prolific.

When I said it wasn't and I would report the study.  I got the response:

Harsh though it may sound, this is Yale.  They know what they are doing.

Anyhow within 10 minutes the survey was accessible, it was completed and the payment made before it was finished.

One to avoid. Estimated completion time of 1 minute but it quickly became clear it would take a lot longer. I returned it and have reported it to Prolific.

I just returned it. I should probably have messaged the researcher but I wasn’t convinced about music and happiness in the first place if I’m being honest so I let it go.

You didn't miss much.  The music was all of the same 'beat' but it wasn't really music and as I wasn't very happy when it started, I remained unhappy at the music.  I doubt the researcher will get any data from me.
