Success! On Tuesday I had a study, "MARKETING 5.0: Marketing and Technology" by flame.edu.in, £1.75 for 14 mins. On the last page I was given a completion code and told to enter it in a text field below; but the page then rejected it and told me to insert a valid code, so it was impossible to submit the study.I messaged the researcher: "This study ends with "Please enter the submission code to submit your response: C15OBPPQ *" but when I enter C15OBPPQ I get "!Enter a valid code". I cannot, therefore, submit the study. Please send me a valid code so that I can submit the study. I have about half an hour before it times out." When there were only six minutes left before it timed out, I warned him that I would submit it with NOCODE, and did so.Yesterday, he eventually messaged me: "Hello there, We checked at our end; we academicians have not received the data in the google form excel sheet; after discussions with Prolific, we were advised to request you to please RESUBMIT the submission. After which, we will pay you the said amount once the data is received ASAP. Thanking you for being patient and considerate."I replied, "I can't possibly resubmit it - do you think I have kept the page open in my browser all this time? It would have timed out long ago, anyway. However, I have a screenshot of the last page, showing the completion code and the message saying it is an invalid completion code; if you give me an e-mail address I will send it to you. I even went through the survey a second time, in case it would submit with a different code, but it still offered the same code. It is not my fault that the code submission process was broken; I have evidence that I completed the survey, which I will send to you; and I am entitled to payment for the considerable time I spent trying to get it to work."I think it must have been the mention of the screenshot that did the trick, because he has just approved the study! But clearly he originally had no intention of paying out, even though the fault was his and not mine.Success!4

Hi all, I take it that having to verify your ID for Prolific with passport/driving licence details is the norm for them?0

I think the likes of Prolific are far better earners but I've not yet fully enrolled yet so I'll find that out soon enough.0 -
Prolific is, to my mind, far and away the best; but it is very important to be honest with it. I know that some people, on other survey sites, will "game" the surveys, giving the answers they think are what the researchers want so that they don't get disqualified from the survey for being in the wrong demographic; you absolutely cannot get away with that in Prolific. Also, it is important to bear in mind that the researchers are all academics, and getting correct data from the surveys - for which they are paying a decent amount - is often crucial to their studies, either as undergraduates or postgraduates. It's very different from the sort of thing you may encounter elsewhere which ask "Which celebrity would you like to have Christmas dinner with?" I like to know that what I'm doing is worthwhile to somebody!

A study about Russia

I completed this, but the last screen showed an error and no code was given. It suggested I repeat the whole survey, but I wasn't prepared to do this with no guarantee it would work.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I've just completed this study, using PC, Chrome browser, with no issues.1
