Oddly, these ones have not been instant payment, not that it is an issue.Martico said:Those Pie ones are by far the best ones I've done on Prolific: mostly interesting / thought-provoking, always well paid, always immediate payment
Another two this morning. It's almost as though they've been hacked!1 -
I don't think anyone is asking you to defend yourself. It seems a shame that the researcher has left you in this situation, it would be good to hear what outcome you get. Fingers crossed.Racheljaa said:
Wish I hadn't posted now, having to defend myself. If I put the same effort in that I did to all my other work, why would I intentionally put bad answers in. No more comments please. It was just a heads up to see if others had experienced the same that was all.sammyjammy said:
They won't know that though.Racheljaa said:
Yes they have the completion code. As I say, over 1100 paid submissions and this is the first such complaint, which is why I think they don't want to pay.Makingabobor2 said:
So did you not get a completion code?Racheljaa said:
They said I intentionally didn't complete it properly, which I actually find quite insulting as I remember doing it and like all studies did it properly. It was one where you have to pick photos, so there should be a pattern as I used the same mental criteria for my selections.....I've filed a complaint.Deleted_User said:
I didn't see that study but I wonder if they gave you a reason for refusing to pay?Racheljaa said:Hi, did anyone else do the study on perception #1061, as they are refusing to pay so I'm going to complain. I've done over a thousand studies and never had a rejection so I think they're trying it on.1 -
I noticed that too, the onlywayisup. Were nearly always paid immediately although, lately not paid immediately.
Do you really think they have been hacked? If so would that have potentially worrying consequences for us as participants?0 -
I think the reason some submissions are taking longer to pay out is the time of year. Everything is slowing down coming up to Christmas and not so many people working. Hence the fact that surveys have really slowed down the last few days.Deleted_User said:I noticed that too, the onlywayisup. Were nearly always paid immediately although, lately not paid immediately.

As well as really enjoying many of the Studies, I'm very appreciative of the income.
I'm happy to wait for payment and glad that the system has not been hacked.1 -
I've still had some surveys pay on completion and haven't noticed anything dodgy."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1

You can't tell people not to comment, apologies if you misinterpreted what i said, my point was the researcher won't know anything about wat studies you have done previously and whether they were rejected or not so its unlikely to be a cynical way of getting out of paying you.Racheljaa said:

Another survey where I open the survey window and get the message "There are too many people filling in the survey at present. Participation is therefore not possible at the moment. Please try again later."

I got that. Refreshing the page several times didn't help, so I closed the window and in the previous window selected the option to re-open the study, at which point it worked. That may, of course, just have been coincidence.

I have come across this before. Is it not the case that, with no option other than to Return the Study, it is not possible to: "Try again later."?0
