Watch out for this one (which I have reported).

It clearly says that it is part one and you may be invited to part two.  However part way during the study it tells you that if you fail to partake in the second study you won't get paid for the first.  Totally wrong.

I think "the study consists of two surveys" is a fair description of a study that you have to complete both parts of.  And it doesn't say you MAY be invited, it says you WILL be invited.

It would be better if it made more of a point of saying if you don't think you will be able to do the second survey don't do the first.  Do you think you won't be able to?
I think the key for me is that an invitation (will be invited) is not the same as being required to complete the second part.  No, I don't think I will be able to complete it as I won't be in the UK.

I also think it should state that you won't get paid for part one without completing part two in the main description and not tucked away in the first study.  I have done multi part studies before but have always been paid for the bits I have done and usually it is on a bonus if you complete all of them.  I find the approach by this researcher to be underhand.

I won't copy the whole info sheet, but this study I just did part 1 for presents the two-part expectations very clearly. I sympathise with you:

    1. What is this survey about?

This short survey is meant to identify a custom sample of potential participants for a future experiment, as allowed by Prolific: https://researcher-help.prolific.co/hc/en-gb/articles/360015732013-How-do-I-recruit-a-custom-sample-

Please note that by participating in this survey, you are in no way committing to participate in the future experiment (that is, if you receive a separate invitation for the future experiment, you will still be free to accept it or not, independently of taking part in the present survey).

Prolific allows researchers to only pay upon completion of all parts, since partial data may not be of any use for their research. However, they have to make that clear in the initial description

     https://researcher-help.prolific.co/hc/en-gb/articles/360009222733-How-do-I-set-up-a-longitudinal-multi-part-study-

"You'll want to make sure that you explain the full structure of your study clearly in the study description, especially if payment is contingent upon participation in the follow-up stages."

There is only several simple questions in the survey, and you need to provide 3 Prolific IDs of your co-workers' if you consent to participate.

Is this allowed? It sounds like a chain letter by means of a study. If I had three co-workers, I wouldn't feel comfortable asking them for their Prolific IDs. (I doubt many people even have three co-workers with Prolific accounts, let alone are aware of it.)
