Can't help but think some of these studies aren't particularly well designed.
Had two this afternoon which with a couple of tweaks or a comments box would have yielded more information for the researcher.
I have messaged one to give feedback but not expecting a response. There's just such obvious glaring gaps at timesAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

Yes, I had one the other day where one of the questions was "Do you vote Labour or Conservative?" I messaged the researcher to point out that there were more than two political parties in the UK.........

Has anyone completed this Study in a reasonable amount of time? At one point I was sure my screen had frozen but, starting again in a new screen made no difference.0 -
I completed that one this morning. I nearly lost the will to live, as it seemed to go on for a long time. Didn't freeze on me though, and took about 30-40 minutes. Already received payment.Deleted_User said:Brightness Sorting

Thanks LeopoldBloom. Maybe I gave up too soon but I was worn out after 75+ minutes when the estimate was 33 minutes. Glad you were paid quickly.0

Workplace Scenario Study (full version)
By ucl.ac.uk£2.40 • £11.08/hr13 mins0 placesIn this study, you will imagine yourself to be in a work situation and answer several questions.
The study will take about 13 minutes and you will get 2.40 GBP. Please see the Prolific Page for how to return the confirmation code to receive your payment.
For research-related reasons, we only recruit participants who have worked in organizations with multiple coworkers and pass our attention check question. Also, we invite only those who have not done earlier versions of this study. You will be notified of your qualifications on the first few pages.
Once you decide to participate in this survey, you can read the details of the study in the consent form.
Thank you for your consideration.
Has anyone done this task? I'm confused about the second bonus round, how were we supposed to select which of the two options to go for? Were we just supposed to click on the one we wanted (it didn't say anything so I just went to the next page thinking you made your selection on the next page, the at the end it sad I didn't complete that round but would still get the first bonus payment).

I got exactly the same message, said I had not engaged, even though I thought I had done everything right and answered all the questions.whosthatrubi said:Workplace Scenario Study (full version)

Did anyone do a study this afternoon involving picking a slot machine to build up points. Halfway through there was a wheel of fortune which you got to play on once. You could win an extra bonus between 0 and 7 dollars. Only two slots out of about 30 had the 0 on. Guess which segment I landed on!!! I wish there was an option to bet on how much bonus you think you might win. I had a sneaky suspicion it would be 0. Did anyone get anything higher than 0.0

Watch out for this one (which I have reported).
It clearly says that it is part one and you may be invited to part two. However part way during the study it tells you that if you fail to partake in the second study you won't get paid for the first. Totally wrong.

I think "the study consists of two surveys" is a fair description of a study that you have to complete both parts of. And it doesn't say you MAY be invited, it says you WILL be invited.theonlywayisup said:Watch out for this one (which I have reported).

It would be better if it made more of a point of saying if you don't think you will be able to do the second survey don't do the first. Do you think you won't be able to?0
