I'm having the same issue with that one it says 164 places available but when I click through to take the survey its saying full and to return it - I've contacted the researcher and will wait awhile to see if I can get in.

Exactly the same here, seemed to be a lot of places available, but another Gorilla platform study so not surprised when I did not get a place.

    Jury decision making

You will take part in a mock trial – as a member of the jury. You will watch and listen to portions of the trial and then provide your verdict, as well as answer some other questions about the case.

The video of the trial was hosted on youtube and is just over 10 mins long so the completion time was a little bit optimistic.

Luckily I took extensive notes of the video trial (no where did it say not to) as there were a number of comprehension questions to be answered at the end and there is no way I would have remembered them all otherwise.

I enjoyed completing that one - I used to be a Crown Court Clerk so it was nice to see the process from the 'other' side!

I didn't take any notes, and I think I may have got one of the memory questions wrong (a side detail that was completely unimportant to the verdict) - I assume that they were intended to test my recall of the trial, and not attention checks, as that sort of attention check is not allowed. I finished within the estimated time.

I thought the same as you, olliebean.  I took some notes but I am not 100% sure that I answered all the 'attention checks' correctly.

Yes I would agree, memory attention checks are not allowed according to Prolific's guidance for researchers but as we all know, researchers do still use them and get away with it.

I am not saying that these questions were attention checks as such, but it was better not to test my awful memory too much on a hot day like today, easier to take notes.

Also I have an add on installed that gives the youtube url of videos hosted on other sites, which is always handy in these circumstances just in case i need to watch the video again but my notes were sufficient this time around.

Well, at least I think they were, I may have answered them wrong for all I know :D

Study about economics and its relationship to social class group membership and political views

    By Ángel del Fresno Díaz

In this 15-minute-long survey, we are interested in your perception of the economic context, your preference for belonging to social class groups and your political beliefs. Participation in this study takes about 10 to 15 minutes and you will receive £1.5 as compensation. Please complete the entire survey.

Clicked on this study as soon as it appeared and states 122 places available, but instead i get the 'Study is full' message.

I would not mind so much If it had been a particularly busy day, but I have completed 3 studies so far today!

This one was odd. I felt sure I answered the attention check correctly but was marked wrong. The subsequent questions didn't seem to relate to the task.

Same for me silvercar - I was sure I answered the attention check correctly but was then told it was wrong and to return the study by pressing Next but I couldn't press Next without answering 2 more questions and was then given a completion code.  I didn't answer any of the problems that they'd mentioned!

I did this survey too. I just clicked where it said “YouTube” at the top of the video and it opened the actual YouTube video in a separate tab.

I did to avoid being caught out by unfair attention checks as has happened in the past.

Oh and Ben was definitely guilty!
