Everyday Cognition 2.0
By anu.edu.au£2.40 • £23.80/hr6 mins102 placesThe general methodology of this project includes participants being asked questions about the extent to which they experience common cognitive failures in everyday life.Received an e-mail from Jim on Prolific directing me to this study, waiting when I logged on this morning, but looking at the time the email was sent I assumed that all the places would be taken.Surprisingly though there were still a large number of places left.Just one page of main data gathering involved, sandwiched between demographics collection, so it was completed quite quickly even by me.I have had quite a few studies from Australian educational establishments of late, this one was from the Australian National University In Canberra

The surveys for which one receives e-mail invitations are usually designed for a very specific demographic, which you will fit and many others will not. This is why they are often still available to you some hours after the invitation.

Rate virtual-character gesticulation (approx. 27 min)
By Gustav Henter
I completed this Study yesterday and entered the completion code - not having encountered any problems.
This morning I clicked to start straight away when this Study presented. Very soon after starting I realized that it was very similar to yesterday's Study. I continued with the Study this morning and I wondered if there would be any differences - perhaps this was not going to be identical to yesterday's Study. The Study itself took about 29 minutes and the only difference I remembered from yesterday was that the attention checks were a bit different. The completion code this morning was different from yesterday's completion code..
Has anyone else been 'offered' the opportunity to do both Studies? I sent a message to the Researcher to explain but it's too soon to expect a reply yet.
UPDATE: " I received a very quick reply from the Researcher just now: "There is no problem at doing both studies. Thanks for your submissions"
It is very generous because, if approved, each Study pays £5.50 for an estimated 27 minute Study.0 -

Does anyone know if there is more than 1 version of this I completed this earlier but it keeps reappearing in surveys available unsure if it is a different version or the researcher just adding more spaces0 -
Chat with an AI about a sensitive topic
By Joe Pie£7.50 • £14.92/hr30 mins14 placesYou have been invited to this study because you previously completed a screening questionnaire. Thank you for taking time to review this short introduction.
About
In this study you will be asked to have 3 conversations with an AI. The AI is able to talk about any topic, but for this study we would like you to talk with it about a sensitive topic (such as politics, religion, mental health, health/financial advice, etc.).
Completed this study but struggled a bit to think of what to say, I started off OK by talking about politics in the first conversation but the other two wandered a bit and I ended up talking about wasps and flowers.

I think I went for politics, religion and racism. The religion one was a hoot; I got the AI to admit that several pop-culture references were written in various holy texts and the discussion became very surreal at that point. There was a follow-on I had about trying to deliberately provoke an AI into saying inappropriate things - hope you managed to catch both of these well-paid studies!1 -

No, they tended to repeat the same thing pretty much. One seemed to have reasonable knowledge of nutritious weeds which was an avenue I led it down, but one seemed to think Teresa May was still prime minister.I understand they were in development and it was a change from the usual thing with reasonable pay, so I am not complaining and definitely better than anything I could have developed.1 -

I did see the second one, but I was too busy unfortunately to attempt it at the time.
