It's frustrating, elsien. Hopefully you'll be able to identify the problem.
I was pleased to reserve a place on an interesting one this morning only to find, after a few questions, that my browser window was not big enough - even when full screen. At least I knew why I was screened out.

I have had a frustrating few days... Last night there was this one:
What Features Are Useful For Humans In Distinguishing Authentic / Fake Face Images? Copy
By nd.edu
I had all sorts of problems annotating the fake/real faces with the cursor not working properly and pictures not advancing. In the end I emailed the researcher who said there was a critical server overload and please to "return the hit" but by the this time I'd spent 20 minutes trying to get it to work.
Before that there were two linked studies on gamlbing websites which took some time and used eye tracking. Both times the calibration worked but then the researcher emailed me to say the data was was not good enough and had my lighting been OK. The first time, they paid me anyway. The second time I managed to get in and return it before they paid me, even though they said they were going to.
These were all quite high paying studies (£3-7 sort of thing) and I've not been on the laptop much so was annoying to lose out! But still, my average daily payment since the start of April, if I carried on at that rate, would earn me nearly £1000 for the year so I need to slow down a bit at some point anyway or I'll have to tell the taxman!0 -

By j tantan£0.50 • £1.07/hr28 mins0 placesI have found, much too late, that it probably was. I think the notification must have come a second time because it was full the first time and I didn't notice that it was the same Study.I had been timed out but did not know and I regret that I spent time and effort continuing to the end of the Study. I contacted the Researcher and Prolific. I'm afraid, as before, I expect no reply.0 -

With my limited ability I followed your good advice and did everything possible to secure my profile. This morning an email arrived from Facebook:"There was an unsuccessful login attempt on your account. If this wasn't you, let us know".
I feel very uncomfortable about it. The Facebook requirement seems to be an essential requirement of the Study:
"Survey on social movements in the UK
By maastrichtuniversity.nl"I'm going to contact the Researcher because I have decided to close my newly opened Facebook account. I was willing to try but I don't think Facebook is quite right for me.Thank you very much for your help, MollyR.Crimson
