This was waiting when I logged on early this morning.
I could not hear any audio when using Firefox, so loaded the study into Chrome and all was fine.
This is a regular thing and it is strange because I am using Firefox (version100 at the moment) and the audio works fine for all other applications including Qualtrics surveys on other websites, it is just Prolific that I regularly get this problem with.

It worked fine for me using Firefox (99.01 64-bit at the moment).

I use Linux on my home computers and I am slowly reaching the conclusion that it must be some kind of Linux/Prolific hosting incompatibility issue that occurs with some studies. When my mother passed away a number of years ago, I found a pile of old laptops in her flat and most had Windows XP and low RAM installed, which was the configuration back then. These old computers struggle to work with modern websites and systems and because some Linux versions (I use Linux Mint XFCE) are a lot less resource hungry compared to modern Windows, I decided to install Linux onto some of the machines to try and breathe some life back into them, rather than condemning them to the rubbish pile. The project has been largely successful and I have found Linux a very good operating system, but I do encounter the occasional glitch. The good points outweigh the bad by a large margin mind you and best of all of course Linux is completely free.1

Did anyone else do this one? I completed it last night. It said you had to have an active Linkedin account which I do. Towards the end it asked you to post a link to your Linkedin details so they could validate you had an active Linkedin account. I didn't add my link and I messaged the researcher to say they couldn't ask for personal details like that. Giving them access to my Linkedin details means they can see my education and job history for a start. Hoping I still get paid though.

It’s my “can’t otherwise afford” money for things I’ve got my eye on, or towards my holiday fund.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -

I spend my Prolific earnings on little treats like a takeaway curry or some alcohol usually. But also I have turned into a minor collector of obscure pro team or foreign club cycling jersey, usually teams that no one (including me sometimes!) has ever heard of and most quite old.If I see one I like I have to get it, but I do not always win the bid.I have amassed around twenty so far and it is surprising how cheap you can pick them up on ebay sometimes.I always make a point of wearing each one at least once out on the bike. One French cycling club jersey (Velo Club Menton) had a large amount of blood down the front, I assume from a crash of some kind and it took me a while to get it clean! All part of the fun.0

I have had study notifications a number of times throughout the day and all have been full. The worst was approximately half an hour ago when six studies became available all at the same time and every single one was full - even though I clicked on them as quickly as possible. I have never had six studies at the same time when all were full - it's discouraging.I don't know what the problem is but, today, I really have lost count of the total number of full studies and not one with a place available to start.Crimson1

Anyone else had a sudden rush of studies. I've just had 5 come through in one go, they all had only 1 or 2 places and I couldn't get a place on any of them. I don't think I've ever seen my screen with 5 studies on before. I was so surprised I just stared at it for a bit, probably why I didn't get a place!!!1
