Is anyone having issues with slow loading pages on the new updated prolific site when I click on a notification of a study via the assist or via prolific itself the page takes ages to load and by the time it does the study is full
Same here Allison, very slow since yesterday. I was thinking it was my wifi, but no problems on any other sites.
Hopefully it will speed up eventually have also noticed you can no longer reserve a study they seem to be making a lot of changes I did wonder if it was because I decline the pop up tracking thing that now pops up every time I log in

As far as I can see you have to reserve studies just as before, it's just the wording has changed from "reserve" to "take part."

Is anyone else concerned about the amount of 'free' data being collected by PA itself in the 'About You' pages? I expressed my concerns to PA a few months ago, their response was that there was always a 'Rather not say' option, but there are currently questions in 6 categories that do not have this option (including one about my sexuality). I'm wondering what they do with it, it isn't an effective filter - I keep being asked if I'm pregnant! I'm 67.

We’ve had to temporarily disable cash outs over the weekend. You can read more about this here .

Phew, that was a close one, I cashed out £53.31 yesterday and was going to leave it until this morning (Saturday), glad I didn't.

My plan for a curry and a bottle of Rioja tonight will go ahead.  I can smell the chicken madras already.

In this study, you will be asked to take an online survey on your experience of caregiving for your wife/long-term life partner with Alzheimer’s disease. Your responses will be anonymous.

Up early on Sunday morning as usual and there was an e-mail from Jim alerting me to a new study for me to take.

I immediately thought wow, good payment but then realised the study was not for me, as I do not care for anyone with Alzheimer’s disease.

Ah well, maybe it will be a sign of good things to come my way.

If a study finishes before the end, for example because one of the participants in a group task has dropped out, but the other participants have done everything they were tasked with up to that point - is the researcher allowed to ask you to return your submission, so they can send you a partial payment via the bonus system, or do they have to pay the full originally quoted amount?
