    Hi everyone

After 4 years of doing Prolific surveys I changed internet provider last week to a very small local company who are rolling out full fibre broadband as part of a local project.  I had previously been with Virgin Media since starting with Prolific.

I had the below code come up when I tried to access a survey a couple of times and thought it was a glitch in the system.

As I have a 30 day cooling off period with my new broadband provider I am going to give them notice on Monday and get broadband with another provider.

My only reason for doing this is so that I can still do Prolific surveys as I do very well out of them.

I am thinking of going to NOW broadband but as Prolific don't publish a list of acceptable ISPs I don't know if they are on it.

Is there anyone on here who is doing Prolific surveys and use NOW as their broadband provider?

    Thanks Sorcery

    What does it mean?

Your internet service provider is not on our approved list. We're really sorry and we know this isn't your fault.
We're trying to improve this and make all safe connections accessible on Prolific. But for now, you may not be able to take studies from this particular internet connection.

    What can I do?

    • Send us a message and we'll add your ISP to our list to be reviewed in future.
    • Try another internet connection (mobile data/hotspot or a friend's house).

Note: Your account hasn't been placed on hold and you can still cash out your rewards.

Have you done what they suggest, and sent them a message?
I had problems a few years ago, when I was on dynamic IPs from Plusnet and Prolific took exception to the ones which were (for some reason) based in France.  Problem solved by paying Plusnet a fiver for a static IP in perpetuity.  If your new provider can give you a static IP, you can tell Prolific what it is and get it whitelisted.

I really hate it when you manage to reserve a place on a study with plenty of places left, only to get:

    Experiment not available

    This experiment is currently full.

Please cancel the task on Prolific.

And are forced to use the Big Red Button to cancel and return it. And not just the high paying ones.

I heard Prolific Assistant calling early this morning whilst out the kitchen.  Almost didn't bother to head back to the laptop, as recently all studies through the assistant have been full.
Glad I did though and lets hope this is a sign of things to come, been a bit slow for me this week.

Up bright and early on a Sunday morning (07:30) and this appeared.  Prolific has been busy on the last few Sundays, maybe this one will be the same?

Anyone else do this psychology study?  I found it quite difficult when they mixed everything up and swapped things around.
They did ask at the beginning if you were right or left handed so I assume that had something to do with it.
Ah well gave me a break from peeling spuds for 15 mins.

  • Been really hard to get on them again lately ;(

I got a well paying one this afternoon but returned it because I just couldn't be doing with uploading a video talking about my leadership style.
    The others have been full.
