Anyone doing the "Insecure Chatbot" studies? I'm wondering where it's going; chatbots are supposed to be helpful to the people chatting with them, but this one keeps whining about mistakes it's made and asking me for help. Unless the intention is to wind me up, I don't see the point.
I didn't manage to get on that one because they'd messed up the survey link initially.  Sounds like fun, I wish I had!

I got a weird one this morning about cryptocurrency that basically appeared to just be a thinly disguised ad for cryptocurrency.  Had a code to get free crypto instead of a proper completion code.  I notice it still has thousands of places available this evening...
I reported this one as being a thinly disguised sell rather than a proper survey.

So did I. It was obviously not a real survey.

I saw the crypto currency one. Very scammy. Wasn't a study at all. One of my friends saw it too and reported it. I do wonder how many checks Prolific actually do first.

I reported the cryptocurrency one too. It’s still very quiet on Prolific for me. The crypto one was the only that appeared yesterday. Last week I got 2.

I also reported the cryptocurrency one - have had no feedback. I even got an email from prolific inviting me to take part in it.

I got an email from prolific that the crypto survey needed more participants but when I tried to complete it I got the message
The researcher has paused the study and therefore it is no longer active. We apologise for the inconvenience. Your account is in good standing.
There was over 2000 places left

Has anyone managed to access this study? Are you using fibre or ADSL?

For the second time recently I'm redirected to a site powered by Gorila and not able to proceed as my Internet connection isn't fast enough. I've switched from wireless to wired but we're not on fibre so this is as fast as it gets for me.

I’ve just completed it - just went straight through to the survey page with no issues. I’m using fibre. Have you tried a different browser?

It does take the full hour. No way to whizz through it more quickly.

I was rejected from this study because I was using Firefox, although it said nothing about that before one opened it.  I think it said it wanted Chrome, Edge or Safari.

If the study tells you you're using the wrong browser, as long as you haven't returned it you can usually reopen it in a different browser by copying and pasting the URL from Prolific. I have a portable version of Chrome on my computer that I use pretty much solely for studies and surveys that don't like Firefox.
