Anybody having issues with Prolific Assistant? The option for 'Check Interval' has disappeared and now it only seems to check every minute or so.
I used to have it set to check every minute, now I'm finding it only checks every 2 minutes. Also any time my computer has been in sleep mode, the only way to start PA checking again after waking the computer up is to disable/re-enable the addon (or restart the browser).

Ah, perhaps mine is every 2 minutes too. I know I'm now missing out on quite a few surveys. I have found logging out of Prolific and back in helps to restart the assistant after sleep mode.

Normally, when a study links to the Prolific completion page at the end, it registers as complete on Prolific and the completion code is automatically filled in. But the last couple of studies I've done, this hasn't happened and I've had to manually click "I've finished" and copy the completion code across from the URL of the completion page. Is this happening to anyone else, or is it just me?

I've just completed a study which didn't return to Prolific at the end.  I just filled in the code showing in numbers on the url, and sent a message to the researcher.

I had the same problems with the completion codes and a broken page in Greek as well on one of the survey. I got into the habit of screenshot every survey final page just in case!

It’s the little things that make it all worthwhile. :D

Great news, xxxx  has increased the reward per hour for this study as it was paying under our minimum recommended reward per hour when your submission was approved.
Your account has been credited by £0.01.

    Haha wow!
There are some generous researchers as I found out today. I was trying to do a group project study. Spent about half an hour waiting for other participants that never contributed, so couldn't actually do any of the study myself. I sent a message to the researcher and a couple of minutes later they had stopped the study and I got a completion code.. then they still paid me the full £4 straight away! Very generous considering they got 0 data. Thought they'd give something for my time but not the whole payment.

With a very annoying study taking up a slot as below (I can see why people are so reluctant to do it, did anyone here done the study?), double-check your About You screen, there are quite new questions that need to be answered.
    • Data Task: 'screen capture' Google Search History. $1.80

      Hosted by Measure Protocol Limited
      £1.298 minutes £9.65/hr 525 places remaining

I did that one a couple of weeks back. It said it would take 2-3 minutes, but actually took about 10, due to the time taken to install the screen capture app and having to repeat the task because it didn't work properly the first time. The task was to scroll through your search history on your phone and upload a screen capture video of you doing it. I don't think they could have got any useful info from mine, because I scrolled as fast as I possibly could ("super fast," as the instructions encouraged me to do), and the screen was blank most of the time as my phone couldn't keep up with the speed of scrolling. Anyway, I still got paid - it was £1.70 when I did it.
(Thanks for the heads-up on the "About You" questions, btw, although I doubt any of my answers to the new ones are going to get me any more studies.)
