To anyone experiencing serious slowness, can we ask for a small experiment from you please?
Could you please test the site in both IE7 and Firefox if you have it? We've noticed a difference here and we're looking to see if it's more widespread.
Also, it would help greatly if we could know the area in which you live (not too specific) and your ISP.
Thanks,

The only problem I am having is when I click on a specific board in my bookmarks toolbar (Firefox) the page is taking too long to load.
and of course having just typed that the board loaded straight away0 -

Just tried refreshing this thread in both. IE7 took 15 seconds and Firefox took close to 30 seconds. I'm in Kent and with freedom 2 surf.0 -
I have no problems with speed - Firefox specially is instantaneous. The only little problem I experience is with editing - with IE, editing a post is tedious and also having to refresh a couple of times and attempt to editing - with Firefox it's much better.
With IE there's the occasional glitch as the page loads - one of them I've been repeatedly getting is this - where the page goes slightly awkward.
I use BT broadband and live near Leeds0 -
At the moment I'm finding Firefox working much better than IE.
With IE I'm getting long delays sometimes and instant loading at others.
With Firefox it's only the occasional glitch.
I'm in Glasgow using NTL ( sorry Virgin Media now ).0 -
I am using Safari (on a MAC) and the site has waves of slowness and freezing up... Would imagine it is linked to the number of people using and accessing the forums? ISP is Madasafish... HTH

Ever since I joined It has always been very slow, I have sort of accepted it now, but since its been hacked, its 10 times slower than it used to be.
I just go and make a cuppa when I am waiting to get in lol.
