Seems its ok for Argos to make mistakes but the people buying the products should be not allowed to make mistakes ? Lets not forget who should be selling safe products here ...

Could your girlfriend have broken the bulb accidently...you weren't there when she assembled them were you? your has GF has no contract with Argos if you bought them BTW.0

You need to base your "claim" on facts. The possible or likely or nearly or maybe situation isn't relevant.
As far as I can see there is no evidence of any injury - regardless of the reason the complainant gives for not seeking medical attention - there simply is nothing here for anyone to compensate for.0 -

But you have already admitted that you know that your local Argos sell products that have been returned because you are "constantly returning items which have obvious signs of use".

May I suggest having your property disconnected from mains electricity. There are many electrical items in a house any one of which could go wrong.
Your house could burn down. As could your entire street. This is before we even get into the danger that gas poses.
What could happen is dangerous territory. Better to be safe than sorry.0 -
what lights were they that she got a shock at presumably 240v, if it wasnt 240v it wouldnt have been much of a problem.0
