  • Name of present? MoPods
Make it or buy it? Buy it
Total Cost? £0.90-£4.99 depending on design and retailer
    Details

MoPods are the latest craze that has swept over from Japan. It is both cute and practical, and as this is a new invention you could be almost sure your present is unique!
A collector's dream, the MoPods come in many designs of mini characters encapsulated in its own transparent dome. There are kittens, penguins, Santa's etc.

As if a little charm pet wasn't reason enough for being, the MoPods are actually practical. When your mobile phone rings or receives a text within a metre of your MoPod then the little blighter will get in a tizz, spin round and round and a little light will flash wildly in reaction. The perfect visual warning if your phone is on silent or in your bag or you are in a noisy bar.

Whether hung on your bag, your clothes, your keys or your mobile, MoPods are a must-have, or as they say in Japan, a "hitsuyou".

The best thing I love about it is that the person you present it to will use it every day, it won't be stored away! Presenting it is also a separate joy as it is followed by trying and loughing, and the little creatures do look charming and appealing.

You can find those at different online stores, like amazon.co.uk, iwantoneofthose.com, ebay.co.uk and many others, if you try MoPod in your search engine. I found amazon is the cheapest.

How about visiting a charity website such as www.greatgifts.org if your really stuck for gift ideas on a tight budget. For just £5 you can buy a gift that will completely revolutionise someone's life - even save it!!

Just look through the selection of alternative gifts online. Enjoy finding something that a friend or relative is sure to like. Select your gift. Decide whether you want to send a card. If you do, choose either an e-card or a real card. Choose your own design if you want. Select whether you want the card sent direct to you or to your friend or relative.
    Your gifts make a difference

You can do a search for gifts priced £5 to £20 and for £5.
£5 can buy A mosquito net or help Sanatise a well

There are other charities that offer this service too now such as oxfam.
  • Name of present: Box of Kisses
Do you make it or buy it: Make it (Of course)
Total Cost: 0.00 GBP (Totaly FREE)
Details: Kisses wrapped in a box are very effective (Cost Effective too)
PS: Unfortunately cant add the Image
  • As a vetran I remember the game matches on bottle. It only takes a milk (or any other) bottle and a box of matches - each player puts a match on the top of the bottle in turn (gingerly as the mound builds) and when the pile, or part pile falls, they are out of the game, etc. etc. until one person wins. That is as cheap as it gets... BUT - the 99p shop are selling Leaning Tower of Pisa! This is a boxed item to give as a gift whereby you build the Tower straight(!) or leaning, but either way the rules are exactly the same as Matches on The Bottle. Nice item - looks good - great gift for game lovers. 99p..!!
