    well done everyone
  • Oh well, missed the boat, but I'll throw it in anyways.
    • Name of present? Photo Album
    • Do you make it or buy it? Both
    • Total Cost? £3.98 + P&P (or more if you're feeling flush)
    • Details (the more the better)
Everyone keeps asking for Photos of family/kids/dog etc.
So came up with the following:
Buy a USB memory key. A 1gb one can be bought from http://www.svp.co.uk for £3.98 or less if you want a smaller one.

Download some free software that allows you to create a photo collage (I've used Irfanview in the past). Create the collage and copy it with the photos onto the memory stick. This way, not only does everyone get the photos they've been after, but they get a nice memory stick too!
    • Where possible please add a link if it's an online offer
    http://www.svp.co.uk
    http://www.irfanview.com/
The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

  • Missed the competition but i just finished making these, i dont know if anyone else has same idea or not

    Name of present?
Chilli Chocolate (you will be suprised how well the two flavours go)
Do you make it or buy it?
    Bit of both
    Total Cost?
    around £4 maximum for 3
    Details (the more the better)
Take a large bar of plain chocolate pref with a high cocoa content, i used tesco finest plain swiss chocolate they are 71p a bar (other brands available), also take a jar of chilli flakes, or if like me you grow your own chillis crush some dried chillies into flakes. place the chocoalte on a piece of foil and put under a warm grill for a few seconds to soften the to layer, whip it out and sprinkle chilli flakes over it making sure the settle in the melted choc. place in fridge till set and wrap in some nice foil or cellophane.
  • Good suggestions there! I love chilli chocolate :j

I PM'd Natasha, but haven't heard anything back - do you guys know if the runners up get any prizes or not?

Name of present? MAGIC BEAN EGGS
Make it or buy it? Buy it
    Total Cost? £3.99
Details (the more the better)? From the site -
This is certainly a gift to talk about, a normal looking egg with a secret inside. Simply crack open the top, add water and sit back and watch a beanstalk grow. As it gets bigger a leaf grows to displays the words "Happy Christmas". Ultimately the leaf will drop off as nature takes it course, but the beanstalk continues to grow.
