Three retentions

Hi folks,
I've just requested my PAC from Three after four years.
I'm just enquiring - do they still call you back within the 30 days and offer much better deals that the "retentions" team?
I'mn not bothered if they do. I'm moving to a great Black Friday deal so happy to move over, but Three do offer some benefits that I would like to keep if possible so wondering if they'll call me back.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A
If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.0 -
Three's Black Friday sim only offer was unlimited everything for £20. 3 happy people in our family

I left 3 last month after 40 min 'battle' with CS & retentions. Not heard a peep from them since0 -
Never ever rang me when i have left Three and i have left and gone back 3 times.
Was on there 8gb Data and unlimited Min/Text for £10 Essential plan but just rang them just over a week ago and now have 12gb data unlimited mins/text for £3 pound more so now Pay £13 but its the Advanced plan so get all the bells and whistles.
So happy with that.:DNobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

After pointing out that a 3rd party reseller has a £40 upfront (inc. a £10 voucher) and £36 for 24 months plan with iPhone XR 64GB and Vodafone unlimited/unlimited/100GB, I got an offer from 3 retention for £0 upfront and £41 for 24 months, same iPhone, same data.
It works out £80 more expensive over 2 years, or £3.33 more per month than the reseller's deal with Vodafone. Not great.0 -
I got a deal which I think is good.
- £8 per month
- 12 GB data
- Unlimited mins + texts#
- Go Roam
- Go Binge (unlimited data on netflix, deezer, spotify)

I had 2 Three contracts. Been recently informed of a 50% price hike upcoming. Moved the 1st to Lebara recently without even calling Three, as there is an online PAC option. I don't need the data, Lebara's 2GB is good for me and the free calls to abroad are a strong lure. Now looking at the 2nd contract. Reading old posts above, off-putting, I am not prepared to spend more than 10 mins with CS. I might just set a stopwatch and if I don't get a deal within X mins, will use the online PAC option again.0

Having received the "We're not offering your tariff any more" letter, I was given the same deal on Live Chat yesterday, although they flatly refused to admit it was a deal Three were offering, even through a third party. I went through the My3 app on my phone to do Live Chat, and selected the option for leaving Three. They initially made some absurd offers like 4GB data, unlimited voice and minutes for £16, which I declined. Because I couldn't give them a link to the MSE deal from the front page of their website, they really didn't want to offer it, but eventually they relented and said I could have the deal because I was a loyal customer. If you're haggling, be prepared for a bit of a battle, and have plenty of evidence, because they're clearly getting you to work for it if you want a discount just nowizawa said:I got a deal which I think is good.- £8 per month

They have been sending out letters saying to people that their plan will go from about £10 to £23/month, like it or lump it!!
