Source please. I've read the manual from DVSA, no mentioned of it that I can see
RFR 8.2.1.2.h for petrol, RFR 8.2.2.2.g for diesel in the manual that comes into effect on 20th:
"Engine MIL inoperative or indicating a fault"

It is frightening how many testers arent up to scratch with the changes and they come into effect from Sunday 20th May!
Especially with the new diesel regs, regarding the plate specs. Tyre standards changes and even light sources/checks.
I predict it is going to be a messy May when it comes to MOT tests. DVSA have to offer clarification.
I know there is a lot of misinterpretation of <brake fluid contaminated>. A lot of testers/centres are going to start failing and charging for a brake fluid renewal.0
