  • I agree LW, I struggle to fly in English never mind French ...

Thanks roundtuit your getting to work safe vibes must have helped as all was well. Took ages to defrost the car though so we were cutting it fine for the college bus.

Gym first thing, then paid stuff no. 1, then home to run round with the cordless vac and mop floors. DW and WM on. 2.5 hours done at job no. 2. DH home early so he is making tea, I am back at job no. 1 in a couple of hours.

Off to put washing over airer then get some food. Might also wave the duster at the LR.
  • Afternoon friends,

Just scoffing an early dinner. The kids have eaten too, without fuss hurrah!! As much as I would love for it to be bath and bedtime, we have to go out shortly for DS karate class.

It's been a pleasant day, managed a lot of steps and the house is tidy and clean (ish). That's good enough for me today!

    Have lovely evenings all x
    MFW :)

I was out with a horrendous tummy bug last week and lived on the sofa with a bucket by my head so the living room is definitely in dire need of a cleanup!

    Plan:

[STRIKE]Clear the sill and dust the curtain rail/blind etc
    Clean the windows
    Rehome lost and wandering gibble
Lift the sofa cushions and swap them - vacuum underneath while you're at it
    Vacuum/wipe sofa and soft furnishings
    Vacuum/sweep floor
Wipe switches and sockets and sticky finger spots with a just-damp cloth
Dust everywhere -don't forget the skirting
Plump scatter cushions and fold throws and drape artistically over sofa
    [/STRIKE]

Done! Also vacuumed the whole house and did a good S and S of kitchen and bathroom.

My mum and I have been shopping and managed to get a super cute outfit for my (currently unborn!) baby to wear for Christmas xD Dress reduced from 50 to 15 in the sale, headband, tights and the cutest little coat (also reduced- 36 to 11)
  • I have spent the day dismantling an old sofa so I can take it to the tip. It'll save me from paying the council to come and collect it and I found over £5 down the back of it. Some of which I wouldn't have found if I hadn't taken it apart :)

2 items listed on Amazon.. I have a pile of knitting books to put on there next. Amazon fees are astromonical but I don't need to do pics or description or other such poop.

right.. speedy 10 minute flingage upstairs.. see if I can find more stuff I can list quickly.. I need another £75 by Friday.

Lounge not going to get much done in there it’s become the replacement dumping area but I’ve shifted some gibble, picked up what oldest dumped, then focused on the kitchen as the dogs have caused chaos yet again! Snapped the child locks and emptied cupboards. Driving us all up the wall. So did B&Q run after work OH made some metal braces, see if that stops them on one tomorrow and have moved things in others. If it does he’ll make some more of these aluminium catches. No idea what started them doing it but clearing it all up every morning and night has us demented.

Washers been on twice today now, driers on now, did ‘campfire stew’ for tea, corned beef potatoless hash left overs for lunch, overnight oats brekkie so back on with the diet. Dishwashers been on ive emptied it and refilled so back On. Will get another load on tonight, do some more of the kitchen . OH in a mood must be something in the water, so anything to keep out of his way he’s in the sitting room watching a film.

My GC targets about been blown but I hadn’t worked out what we’ve been spending for years. Stuff got expensive
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Went to gym and did about 5mins on treadmill, 30 mins of Core Express followed by 45 mins Clubbercise .....so I was well prepared when the friend whose horse Mr N helps with turned up with a chocolate cake which she periodically bakes as a thank you.
One load of washing done, hung out and brought in.
    One report emailed. Another started.
Cinema tickets booked for tomorrow (go for it Froddington)
Hall, stairs, kitchen, lounge (including sofas) and dining room vacuumed.
Nothing too much in the wrong place in the lounge so no tidying needed.
Old flower arrangement dismantled and put into brown bin.
Dinner (mostly cooked by Mr N) seemed to need a lot of pans so it was only fair that I washed up.

MIL's flat is still not finished, despite promises, so she is back with us tonight.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
