Bonjour, mes amies! (il y a des amis aussi?)

Welcome MadamMin and Horse Owner

GWS Jojo and enjoy your bed rest.

Hope the mountain run-off is slow, steady and non-destructive, Dizzy.

I have flown since 8.30 this morning:
    - S&S'd bathroom
    - ditto ensuite, and replenished loo rolls
    - opened the curtains, wiped the light switches, tidied the papers and wiped the coasters in the LR
    - sorted, filed or flung papers and books that were cluttering the spare bed and the top of the filing cabinet in the study - at last!
    - remade spare bed and put bedspread over
    - brought 2 piles of ongoing work back from our BR and spread it out over the spare bed :rotfl:
    - tried to make a phonecall, but again no answer - maybe they're on holiday
    - mended one of Rosie's toys - she had chewed the feeler off her lovely squeaky bee, and I need to take one of her toys with me to her class this afternoon, as playing nicely is part of her next test

No excuse not to get on with studying now! Uh-oh, on second thoughts, I need to write one short letter and send a couple of emails first, or I shall forget them again.

Catch up later. Hope everyone has a good day: (((hugs))) spoons and sticks available as needed x
  • Thank you for the warm welcome! :D
    This morning has been productive...
YDS packed off to school with lunch :j
Dishes packed away, work surfaces wiped down.
Washing in, done and double spun. (About to put on horse)
Home insurance sorted for another year at a bargain price, with a shopping voucher thrown in:T
Research into LPA for my mum done.. Some of the solicitors costs were:eek::eek:
(Doing it ourselves through gov website.)
De cluttered pain au chocolate and coffee for breakfast! :p

Need to vacuum and clean bathroom.. Will attempt more on the list, EDS is perched on sofa feeling under the weather so don't really want to dust all over him! :o

Sending (germ free) hugs to all that need them! :smileyhea

2 more sales .. £40.50 all packed up to go

I haven't lost any lard.. typical.. I never do.. unless I stop eating completely.. but I am STAAAAAARRRRVVVVVED.... I shall go find a sugar substitute later..

Twinkle is a bit warm today and even more limpety than she usually is.. I can't move without her screaming at me.. she is sat on my chair with me .. and keeps stealing my phone and mouse and anything else her meddlesome mitts get near.

I am going to ignore the screams and find her a bobble and do some toast I think.

well I am bored so we are heading to post office now.. I need to bob to shop for pretend sugar and sticky plasters that actually stick.. Dot has eaten the skin off her thumb.. literally, eaten it!! Then screamed it is sore.. well DUH!!! Ooh I need 6 buttons too.. I have a massive bag full and I can't for the life of me find any! I need 9-10 tights for Squeak too.. grey or black or navy.. not sure anywhere down here sells them though.. :/

When I return I have some photos to do of the baby toys I need rid of.. I am hoping Twinkle naps for a bit so I can get some boxes shuffled upstairs so I can make a start on getting DS3 moved to the empty bedroom! I need a box of saved clothes down too because think Squeak might fit in some of them.

Ground floor carpets vacuummed, kitchen floor swept and washed, showered and hairwashed, Kelpie trundled x 2, fed and an Adapt!l collar from the stash fitted because he's become so paranoid about being left on his own and a zillion loads through the WM and TD. I'm not going to clear Mount Washmore today but it's considerably smaller. Maybe tomorrow.
    Better is good enough.

    Parcels gone..
    buttons bought..
sweeteners bought.. we shall see how I tolerate those, though I do feel like I am turning into my nanna!!..
cough syrup bought for Twinkle.. they offered to give me it on the minor ailments.. it is £2.. I think I can manage that this week!
plasters bought for Dot.. I only have plain white ones and she won't keep them on, plus they get wet easily.. so i bought her Frozen ones.. see if they last any longer.

4 more things listed on ebeast..
half a box emptied before Twinkle woke up.. OH is home tonight so he can watch her while I sort the rest. I did get 2 boxes and a large pile of clothes out of the bedroom though so I am making a small amount of progress.. we can see a little bit of mattress now!

    cuppa and school run!

Please tell me French isn't now a compulsory subject? I don't speak a word of it, I'm afraid. :D My compulsory language O level was German, and I don't even remember any of that! :D

    Welcome new Flyers.

Excitement on the way home as I got stopped by the police; he thought I was on a mobile while driving but it was the reflection of the sat nav. He managed not to laugh when I offered him my ancient, non-smart phone with a screen about 4cm in diameter - you'd have to be very eagle eyed to read anything off that while driving! As I don't drink he wouldn't let me have a go at the breathalyser, and his device for checking car and licence details wasn't working so he just sent me off. I offered to leave him all my details on paper, but he wasn't interested; probably too young to know what paper is!
That experience would have sent me into a full-on, no-holds-barred panic attack. Even though my (like yours, ancient and non-smart) phone lives in my bag while I'm driving, and if I have to drive, I only drink water or coffee. But then, we don't have a sat-nav to reflect on the window.....

Oh shut up Wolfy, you're waffling!

Anyways, I'm in as much as I can this week.

Mr LW has been dragooned into vacuuming; one cylinder full of blonde dog hair consigned to the bin. WM load of his clothes and sundry household items done; it's been outside most of the day, but in now and on A-frames over the bath to finish drying.

Nut loaf I made yesterday sliced and 3/4 of it put in the freezer (the other 1/4 is for tonight's dins).

Recycling indoors; glassware box ready to go out, other stuff bagged up as tidily as I can (I can stuff a LOT of recycling into one pink sack, as I pack it in the same way I would a suitcase) and also ready to go out - these will be put out first thing tomorrow; if we do it tonight, the local vermin will have the pink sack shredded and all over the place by morning.

Slinky challenge - I may have lost 2 ounces. Or it may be that I'm wearing a lighter weight skirt today. :(
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Well done on the ebay sales, and hello to our newbie

Very productive but most definitely overdone it

    [STRIKE]Level 1
Clear the sill and dust the curtain rail/blind etc
    Clean the windows
    Empty the bin
    Rehome lost and wandering gibble
Sort through newspapers and magazines and fling anything outdated into the recycling
    Level 2
Lift the sofa cushions and swap them - vacuum underneath while you're at it
    Vacuum/wipe sofa and soft furnishings
    Vacuum/sweep floor
    Chuck any burnt out candles
Wipe switches and sockets and sticky finger spots with a just-damp cloth!
    Level 3
Dust everywhere -don't forget the skirting
    Water/attend to plants
    Replace faded/dead flowers
    Polish coffee/lamp tables
Plump scatter cushions and fold throws and drape artistically over sofa
    Extras
Clear a drawer or a shelf in this room
Pull out electricals and clean them carefully[/STRIKE]
MAD half hour - work on your challenge - meal plan/post sales/write a TOOTS list for what needs to happen in THIS room to make it a haven .... upstairs, blitzed, tidied, beds made, plates and glasses collected from kids room, all downstairs floors swept and steamed,
    HHI - Kitchen - S&S, windowsills, floors swept/steamed, - Bathroom S&S, floor swept/steamed, load of washing/hung out

needed ten minute lie down, left leg feels numb and painful its driving me nuts
