Halifax will rollover theirs only if you have a savings account opened otherwise it will convert into a Easy Saver upon maturity.

My family all had these last year when it was 2.5% and only my dad who didn't have any other accounts with HFX/BOS got a Easy saver opened at the same time as the Regular Saver application so his rolled over.

We all had current accounts with either HFX/BOS and so a Easy Saver wasn't opened upon application.

That's the odd aspect of the LBG offering - the maturing funds can only be transferred to a savings account - not to a current account.

    Weird...

Yes today. Received an identical envelope which contained someone else’s passbook and maturity cheque with a letter addressed to me. I know mistakes happen, but this is a pretty bad breach of security!

Perhaps you have received mine ;)
  • Received my maturity cheque today, £4,262.44. Lodged in bank this morning, will clear by midnight tomorrow, then I can move it to savings and earn some interest.

Question on the new Chorley Members RS Issue 2: I posted my application form, along with cheque for the initial deposit of £250, on 21 May along with maturity instruction form for the one which has just matured. The new one doesn't start until 1 July, so am I safe to assume that my cheque won't be cashed until then?

Over the phone (they called me to confirm they'd received my application and run through the terms), I asked that and they said that they'd not pay in the cheque for the new issue until 1 July.

Bit of a cheek that they converted to the Chorleian account and paid 0.6% interest over the weekend, as they held on to passbooks until Monday morning. 45p lost interest, well I never!
