Drop it down to the 123 lite. You still get the cashback with a reduced fee then put the balance in Marcus to get the 1.5%.0

The eSaver created for last month's maturity is now showing a minus figure equal to the excess interest paid out. Unless approached directly before then, I propose to clear it out of the April maturity.
I've had the letter asking for it back, so I've paid it back.
Looking on it as a tax saving of £9.600 -
This could be useful with its innovative terms for deposits and especially withdrawals. Beats Santander and Bank of Scotland's 1.5%, though obviously for smaller amounts initially.
I've a mortgage with them but don't live in their catchment area; they may let me in. I'll enquire.
They won't.............. For that reason.0 -
Just a reminder about the change in their SO details; I had their letter about it this week. You have to deal with the change for the April 1st payment.
Edit: it was an e-mail, not a letter.0 -
Strangely, just checked my SO for Leeds RS issue 21 which has already gone through for March, and the old account details are the same as the "new" ones detailed on their website. So a non event for me?0

I do no remember ever received such email, I just check my mail box, nothing there.
Is it something to do with their new AC No. ?
My currenrt i21 is having
Sort Code : 08-61-19
A/C : same ac SAving Ac no remove but remove the last two digits)
Th old one (i10) was:
Sort Code : 40-27-15
A/C : 12440040
Is there any new ac no to set up the SO ??
My version is Issue 17 and the sort code etc did need changing. For me the new sort code is 08-61-19. It would therefore appear that the change applies to the older RS versions.0 -
..... For me the new sort code is 08-16-19. It would therefore appear that the change applies to the older RS versions.
"For paying into a Savings Account, please now use 08-61-19"
It implies this is the sort code to use for depositing funds for ALL savings accounts.
Or have you done what I did when I jotted down the sort code from my email and transposed the 6 and the 1?0 -
Are you sure about that sort code? LeedsBS web-page detailing the changes, says:
"For paying into a Savings Account, please now use 08-61-19"
It implies this is the sort code to use for depositing funds for ALL savings accounts.
Or have you done what I did when I jotted down the sort code from my email and transposed the 6 and the 1?
Heres the email:
Dear Veryintrigued
New sort code and account details to use when you pay into your account.
To give people a greater level of protection when it comes to their money, the government has introduced new rules for the UK banking system. For Leeds Building Society members, this affects the way some payments are made into your savings and mortgage accounts.
You recently made a payment into your savings account which we were able to process on this occasion. If you make another deposit into your account by Faster Payment, Standing Order, CHAPS or BACS you will need to use the new sort code and account number below. Please don’t worry if you have made another payment into your account recently using the old payment details this will still be deposited into your account. However we advise that you update the details before the next payment is made.
The new details you’ll need to use are:
Sort Code 08-61-19
Account Number This is the first 8 digits of your existing 10 digit account number.
You can find your 10 digit account number in your passbook, recent letters from us or by logging into your online account.
Reference You can use a reference of your choice.
What do you need to do next?
You’ll need to get in touch with whoever’s making the payments to your account before the next payment is due. For example, this could be your bank or pension provider.
Unfortunately Leeds Building Society cannot change these payments on your behalf.
Payments not affected by the changes
There are a number of payments that are not affected by the changes:
Direct Debits, Cheque, Debit Card and payments made in branch.
Where to find more information
To find out more about these changes and for reassurance that this email isn’t fraudulent please visit our website and search for "payment changes".
Yours sincerely
