Has Leeds actually told its customers they need to make these changes? I don't remember reading anything. It says in the Q&As:
    https://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/changes-to-paying-in/

In my case will the payment be automatically redirected? As until I just read this, I was unaware of the change.

My standing order was paid on the 1st January (joys of using a modern bank) to the old bank details. Credited as normal this morning. No email received.

(In absence of a list) What about M&S / First Direct / HSBC? Thanks!

Let me google that for you: "The maximum balance is £3,000 at the end of the 12 month term. "
In short, 13th deposit isn't allowed.

As predicted, Leeds BS have withdrawn their reg saver. Another one bites the dust.

Happy New Year all! Yes indeed Karlie.

Please bear with me and excuse two personal seasonal predictions. From a bank balance sheet management perspective, I would expect some fixed rate RSAs to be pulled (or have their % rates cut) in the next month or two. But on the flip side, I anticipate some attractive offers at the shorter (1-2 year) end of the retail fixed rate bond space, and I think we're already starting to see that. However I won't rush to tie up funds, as I'd like to remain very liquid until post 29th March.

Something to note for those of us with Leeds BS Reg Saver Issue 12 (and onward issues):

    http://www.leedsbuildingsociety.co.uk/changes-to-paying-in/

Has anyone managed to establish yet if we have to make these changes ourselves for future payments if our January payment was successfully received into our Leeds account with the old sort code and account number?
  • Hi Folks,

    Here is this weekend's update.

    - Leeds BS Regular Saver (Issue 22) withdrawn and removed from post 4
    - Entries on some accounts in post 1 updated to reflect they allow a 13th payment using info from post 1749 by karlie88 (and many of the entries already contain information about whether a 13th payment is allowed or not)
    - Progressive BS Clockwork Regular Saver (Issue 2) interest rate increased from 1.6% to 1.75% and updated in post 2
    - Nationwide FlexOne withdrawn and removed from post 3
    - Scottish BS Junior Regular Saver account interest rate increased from 2.15% to 2.35% and updated in post 3
    - Nottingham BS Robin Hood Young Saver issue 7 replaced with issue 8, details identical to issue 7 except that the issue 8 account matures in January 2021
    - Earl Shilton BS account now only available to people who live in post code areas of LE, CV9-13 inclusive and DE11-15 inclusive (updated in post 2)

I will not be updating all the entries with whether or not multiple deposits are allowed in a month as that information is easy to find for anybody who wants to know for a particular product they are interested in and there is a limit to the amount of text I can put in each post.

I will do another update next weekend.

Must depend on the date of your SO. Mine is for 14th of the month so I cancelled the original SO and set up a new one. A tiny bit of faff for one payment but it's done.

I had to check with LBS about the account number, there's no need to use their generic one anymore.

I spoke to them today and they said that it's best to change to the new sort code etc for payments into the regular saver as the old details will be phased out within the next 12 months, and the re-direction of payments is unlikely to work after that.

The post on Best Feeder accounts needs updating to reflect that fact that one can't keep 5% Nationwide FlexDirect by downgrading and upgrading.
  • I got my e-mail today from Leeds BS, I'm not going to change the details for this month, as the SOs are due within the next week. But I will change the details for next month, it's pointless doing it for Issue 4 for me anyway, as the last payment will be this month.
