Am I correct in thinking that there was no regular esaver 12 instore that the last instore was esaver 11 until today's esaver 12 at 3%. As the rate for the online regular savers are fixed they are not going to change them. Therefore, the online esaver 12 will remain the same and hopefully around the 20th of the month there will be an online esaver 13 with the 3% rate

    Am-I-the-first? - Am-I-the-first? - Am-I-the-first? - Am-I-the-first? - Am-I-the-first? - Am-I-the-first?

OK, I've calmed down now - it was a very hot bus&tram to Croydon and back :)

esaver and instore ain't the way it works :)

Today's branch offering brings them both up to issue 12.

Here's hoping they carry on with the alternate months and, of course, the 3% though they won't get any argument from me if they choose to raise it.

While they mull over 2.5% for number 13?

In the DM today Virgin Money are quoted as saying
We also recognise the importance of supporting customers to build the savings habit and we are increasing the rate on our attractive Regular Saver product by the full 25bps.

    Probably not :)

I opened and fully funded mine at lunchtime, they said I was the fifth one of the day (in that branch).

I didn't have an appointment, and only had to wait as long as it took them to finish putting up the posters advertising the 3% RS which they were in the middle of doing when I walked in. ;) As I walked out there was a crowd (well 3 people) standing outside studying the posters. :D

SS is going to be pulling his hair out trying to work out which institutions posters are talking about when he returns from his hols.

I know we're all dead excited about the new issues but is there any chance at all that forumites can either place a title within their posts or start a new thread dedicated to that issue?

That way we're not only helping ourselves but helping him too.

I have already opened the regular esaver 12 online last month have two payments in it. Maybe they will have a regular esaver 13 later in month. Was there already an regular esaver 12 instore?

The Regular eSaver available online, and the Regular Saver available instore, are two different and separate products. They just happen to have had the same interest rate, and mature the same months. Although the instore one allowed 13 payments, and the online one 14 payments. It seems to confuse people because the online one becomes available before the instore one (hence why there has already been an issue 12 online, but until now only up to issue 11 instore).

In other words, there is no such thing as a 'regular esaver 12 instore'.

They have withdrawn the Regular e-saver.

That's interesting. It was there yesterday! Perhaps an issue 13 at 3% is imminent....

You probably beat me, Croydon had their posters up by 11:45 but I believe I was their 2nd - all today's and tomorrow's appointments were booked much to the chagrin of a counter customer who was trying her damndest to sort it without returning next week.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of popping into Croydon tomorrow on the off chance they might open one there and then. Seem like I shouldn't bother! I'll book an appointment for for during the week instead. Although I'm going up to London tomorrow afternoon so wonder whether its worth ringing the Haymarket branch to see if they'll see me?
