Just to add regarding requesting the Virgin branch Reg saver proceeds by letter, I also enclose my passbook which they return usually with a Virgin envelope which can then use for the letter to get the proceeds from the next branch saver and so on. I think there is a form they have sent me in the past you can complete and post rather than write a letter but I just do the letter as just as quick and passbook enclosed saves you writing out your Reg saver account number etc.

Virgin Money - Store RS scoop!?

I just took a phone call from an employee of my local Virgin Money "store", to the effect that a new Store RS is to be launched tomorrow 3rd August: usual deal except for the interest rate which will be ... 3.0%!

I pass this rumour on for what it's worth, i.e. hopefully will transpire but not necessarily entirely reliable. Perhaps others are getting similar calls from their regular contacts in VM?

That'll put Virgin out of sync. I'll have to replan all my other regular savers if that's the case. I like to have two maturing every month, so if Virgin are going to change their two regular savers every two months I'll have to change my plans!

Now confirmed on their website - store only, 3%, £250 per month, max £3250.

The last online version was number 12 and the last store version, prior to this new one, was number 11. Not quite sure what you're asking?

This is the first of the 25, now 26, regular savers that has opened in an August.
