Hi all!
Penblwydd Hapus / Happy birthday Miss n9eav and ageandjo!!!
Pottering about waiting for the RA flare to stop - no change yet.
DS2 carried 9 e-bay parcels to the Post Office and sister took 2 boxes of 'stuff' for her charities so de-clutter is continuing.
Sent OM to Mr T's to buy some baby talc, and got 500 points, hoping to have a 'free' holiday next year. Shall use the talc one way or another!
Love my magnetic can opener, even though it sounds like a tank. Hoping to actually cook dinner tonight!
Really 'enjoyed' the storm programme last night, it brought back some memories:
We were living in Enfield and DD was just a few days old
OM was snoring so loudly that I didn't realise there was a storm till I sat near the window - had to move in a hurry as the house was shaking!
My parents were with us and had to stay an extra day due to the fallen trees
The brave midwife (called Dorothy - great hurricane jokes!) had to drive on the pavements to make her visits.
Have a good day!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Afternoon everyone.
Iv done loads, cleaned the house right the way through, 4 loads of washing done and currently have the kids play trainers in the WM. (I will then put them in tumble dryier with a new dishcloth soaked in fabric softner makes them smell lovley!)
Prepared tea, thrown away a bag full of clutter, cleaned up the pc, and have gone over budget again.
Have a well deserved break and coffee before i quickly put the last loads of dry washing away before school runs.
Have a great evening everyone
Donna

Afternoon everyone.
MRSMIX - Let's hope the new antibiotics do their job asap.
CRAZY - hope you sleep better tonight. There's nothing worse than lack of sleep - that's how I've been for the last three weeks until I had a brilliant night's sleep last night.
THISISIT - hope you don't get the 'thread cold'.
SAMSAMPOTTS - welcome back - I was wondering where you'd got to!
Well, my beef stew is in the SC and smells delicious. Will put the dumplings in later and have it all with HM bread. Baked nectarines in a Sangria and honey sauce (I've just invented the dish!) for pudding. The sun is beaming here at the moment so I have two loads on the line; the ironing board has been up since about 10.30 this morning. Will do that when Strictly Come Dancing, Take Two is on at 5.15 this evening.
Nipped into the village to get some suet and also bought some extra-thick double cream to go with the nectarines plus, in the charity shop, a brand-new unopened Winnie the Pooh crossword kit with 12 cards, one for each month of the year. It will make a brilliant Christmas present for my niece and it cost £1.25! Had cheese salad for lunch and just had a 10 minute doze on the sofa and I'm just about to do some more work. Well, once I've had a cuppa.
Hope everyone is having a great day. I wonder how JACKIEO is getting on?
See you all later.

Happy Birthday DD N9eav and Ageandjo!0 -
Hi Everyone
Well today my OSing has been .................. nil!!! I did walk to the shops this morning (just to be independant and get out by myself!!!). My excuse was I needed the cash machine. A brisk 15 minute walk each way (but it was a rather cool wind) just what I needed.
My Mum and Sister came for lunch (which DH prepared) and we had a good natter. Mum had sent flowers at beginning of week (Jersey Flying Flowers) and so not good value for money. I didn't want to bring this up with her but she noticed and is phoning to complain. I have given her the local florist's phone number because I know she always likes to send me flowers for my birthday at Christmas.
Quite enjoyed doing next to nothing today. Washed some towels and also stripped the Moses basket down and washed all the trimmings as I am going to put a postcard up in the local shops. It is a lovely Mamas and Papas one in excellent condition, with stand and a brand new Mothercare mattress as DGS3 now in cot and not actually slept in it. I am asking £15 - do you e-bayers think this is about right?
Happy birthday to n9eavlette on your 18th. Hope Dad makes a great dinner for you.
Happy birthday too to ageandjo.
Sorry to hear some of you still poorly.

Gb hiya, you may get more than that for the moses basket, i found the best place to put a card up was at the doctors in the heath visitors waiting room as this is where all the new and expecting mums wait. My doctors has a notice board for such items.
Hope that helps or stick on ebay as a collection only item.Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
Afternoon all - still staggering on with Mum Flu - have so far cleaned all the floors downstairs, taken dd to the doctors (infected but only just and the grommets are still in so unlikely that her ear will bust), visited middle dd and dgs, done the shopping, and some baking - Twink I want to thank you so much for your famous hobnobs. I can do any number of breads but anything cakey or biscuity is always a bit of a disapointment - in fact for years my kids marvelled at the way my cakes came with "custard" in the middle. Anyhoo i have made a batch of twinks for ddad and auntie's visit tomorrow and they look and taste gooooooood. Should go well with the strong dutch coffee ddad never travels without. He has also brought me loads of peanut butter as he got it into his head that we can't get it here - love him he got it confused with the special chip sauce I always ask for but he has remembered to bring the hagel something or other which is biggish boxes of hundreds and thousands that the kids over there have on bread. He always goes back with shredded wheat, mint sauce and bisto
plans for the rest of the day are to start veggie cottage pie for tomorrow and then collapse in heap with tissues and olbas oil. Actually i feel worse if I stop so might just keep goingI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Thanks dlb
DD just tried to sell her Moses Basket on e-bay as collect only starting at £9.99 - some watchers and no takers!!!!!!! Unfortunately our doctor doesn't do a board. Will however put on intranet at work when I go back next week. Also have a nearly new digi camera in a box (mine replaced when DH came back from Taiwan in July). Am going on to e-bay tonight to see what realistically I can get (with rechargeable batteries, charger and memory card etc).
Love

I posted earlier, but the site threw me off........I went and got my script updated and meds ok'd for the next 12 months........
No roofers yet to my friend.hope it doesn't rain tonight, she didn't sleep last night.
Went and got a new lock from B & Q and fitted it to the shed at the lottie, it appears that 6 sheds were targeted.......between 1pm and 1,30pm on Saturday lunchtime...........I think they were looking for something they could sell to buy either drink or drugs.
Not much else done really I am feeling quite tired, might have a quick zizz...Chicken mayo with lemon cous cous and salad for supper, will finish off the bottle of wine I started last night........
Tomorrow cleaning is on the cards.......it will take us a couple of hours from start to finish...........
I am swithering about buying a microwave, I had a combi micro when we moved, but it was too big for the kitchen, but we have seem a couple of rather nice small ones, it would save me putting the oven on to do jacket spuds etc and be cheaper...........John Lewis have it for £149.00 plus if I buy it through quidco I will get £12 cash back......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
